This is going to be a petty little vent. On two things: Algebra, and Mac laptops. For one, I was absent two days [Mon. and Tues.], and I come back, and the student teacher hands me a green foldable with the AC method of factoring on it. Well, I sit there and stare at it, trying to figure it out. They took this as not paying attention. No, I'm not paying attention because I'm trying to figure this damn thing out. And apparently, we had a quiz today. Which they didn't remind us of until yesterday, giving me only 2 days to figure this out, catch up on homework for two days in four classes, and get some swimming in before summer league starts. If I passed that quiz with an 80, I'll be lucky. I stopped by my foundations teacher's class today, telling him, and he gave me notes that I can actually understand, that's pretty much straightforward. And it has the other factoring method on it, too! ;D [He's pretty much mine and my boyfriend's best friend because someone stole my phone and was texting the boyfriend from it, and so my foundations teacher let me use his phone ;D]. Now. Mac Laptops. They fail. My school is known as the new 'rich' school, because I think we have 2 Mac labs, 2 PC labs, several carts of brand new Dell laptops, and several carts of brand new Macbooks, and several carts of iPod touches, a huge theatre, etc etc. The Macbooks WILL NOT LET YOU LOG IN. It takes the people who use them about 3-6 times to log in, and sometimes you have to switch laptops to log in. And repeat the process on occasions. And you can't right click on them without holding down the control button. They make me mad D< /pettyrant

Ugh. I feel your pain. I was out Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. I came back to school and in math we were doing some graph/coordinstes/slope thing or something that I had no idea what it was. I got all this work to hand in that I missed and I have no clue how to do it. During study hall i asked like 6 people if they could help and they said "Nope, i dunno how to do it, i just copied off someone else!" You're kidding me. I just started figuring it out. My schoool has laptops too, not sure what kind, they never let you log on either. I dunno what's wrong with them, but we are constatly saiyng "Oh, this one doesn't work, oh this one needs to be charged more, there's something wrong with this one," and there's not enough for everyone and like three people have to share. :roll:

Point slope form? ;] Haha. I struggled with that. It took me until this year to get it, because my foundations teacher explained it really good o.o And I hate it when they do that DAhaha.

psst we only have one mac lab xD but yeah, our school spent so much money on all their iPods and computers and fancy stuff that they couldn't even get us new textbooks. And I hate the macs

The laptops are stupid and annoying and the big iMacs are so freakin difficult to use.

We do? I could've sworn we had two o.o; I have a new algebra text book o.o; And I think the state just hands them down. I remember my seventh grade textbooks were falling apart, and the first person to recieve mine was in 1994. NC just doesn't fix their roads or supply schools with supplies. And Alva: I KINDA like them, but because the ones at school are attached to one server, they're slow and don't let you log on D<

I've only ever seen one xD But there could be another one. And everyone always says "THE mac lab" instead "a mac lab". Really? o.o I had Algebra last semester and we didn't even get assigned textbooks because there weren't enough that were good to use. And my Geometry textbook is like 10 years old. I hate the keyboards on the iMacs. It's hard to type with. And the MacBooks are even worse, with there little no-right-click thingy.

o.o I have a brand new one, I'm the first one it's ever been assigned to, so maybe they got new ones? And I hate them too. And to get right click, hit control and then click. Mac's drive me crazy.

Um, are you peoplez CRAZY????? Macs are the FASTEST, EASIEST computers in the world!!!!!! Mine loads everything in less than 2 seconds, unless there is like a million pictures. And all the stuff is super easy to find, once you learn it. The fox and the compass are internet, the cd w/ a music note is music, the calendar is a calendar, the guitar is garage band, the picture and camera are pictures, the W is word, the trash can is the trash etc...!!!!! The pics tell you what it is. PLUS, they are SUPER hard to get a bug on. I love my mac books AND desktops!!!!! GOOOOO MACS! As for school, yeah, it sucks to come back and have tests and papers and work you don't get!!!

Ewhhh. I don't like the Macs. Granted, if I had a laptop of my own, not a laptop that died because Microsoft is full of holes because its the most used system operator in America, I'd get a MacBook Air. Only because I like the design. I don't like the ones at school, though. They confuse me.

My boyfriend has a mac, and it shuts down randomly, doesn't have sound, can't play video games, and for some reason doesn't allow word processing documents. And he's had 1-2 year(s). Not to mention it cost him a few thousand dollars, while his dads Toshiba was about $1500 and it has lasted 10 years.

They're only around 1200-1500 and mine never shuts down, has sound, and plays video games. It's at least 5... It doesn't close but we got it at a scratch and dent sale fro really cheap, because it doesn't close fully. It pops open a few milimeters. The REALLY old one (maybe 7-10?) is pretty slow and doesn't play video games well. But hey, that's old! GO MACS! I WILL ALWAYS SUPPORT YOU! (also heart the commercials!)

Not everyone has enough money to pay for a $1500 laptop that's only going to last a couple years until apple comes out with something new and better and that one becomes old. Everyone I know whose had a mac its only lasted three years at the most. My laptop was $850 and it does every single thing a Mac can do for about $700 less.

No Macs for Kaytee. I like the new Dells. My dad has one. Its really nice o.o

I know not everyone has 1500 for a new mac. (I got my dad's hand me down for a while until I got my desktop). But someone said their boyfriend paid a FEW thousand for theirs, but that their 1500 is much better. I was just pointing out that 1500 is the same as a mac. But yes, they ARE expensive... Still, they work well, and for a long time... ALSO, they are the best quality from the mac stores or inline, versus best buy etc... dunno why.

It did cost a few thousand, around 2-3k but he bought something to go on it, I don't know. xD And what I was saying is that my boyfriends dad has a Toshiba that has lasted 10 years unlike my boyfriends 1-2 year old mac. Everyone has their opinion on different computers, we don't have to like macs and you don't have to agree.
