So I was looking up exotic breeders, right?<br>And guess what pops up?<br>Kens Exotics<br>selling<br>-Servals $3200<br>-Hyenas $9800<br>-Golden Jackals $6800<br>-Flamingos <br>-Carpathian Lynx $3900<br>-Bornean bearded pigs $3800<br>-Asian clawed otter $4500<br>-Fishing cats $10,000<br>-Bat eared fox $5000<br>-aardwolf $7500<br>-aardvark $7000<br>-wallaby $4500<br>and<br>-striped hyena $4500<br><br>I mean....isn't that just crazy?? I mean...HYENAS!??!

    These are not meant as normal "exotic pets", these are meant to go to zoo's, education outreach or breeding programs.
    <br><br>What it says on there website. :wink: <br>You have to have a licenses in most areas in the US to own an exotic pet.

    If a person follows the laws, and is willing to pay the thousands or millions to obtain the license(assuming they are approved at all) then I see no problem with it. I've heard that people who own the really dangerous ones like bears and big cats pay millions each year just on licensing and insurance. <br><br> Plenty of normal people also own more affordable exotics, like exotic birds, foxes, and small cats. Heck, I've talked with people that own rattle snakes and gaboon vipers, and I personally would like to own gila monsters when I complete school. Over all none of them are pets in the same sense of domestic animals. IMO you really should have a degree or training in animal behavior or zoo keeping before owning any of them.<br><br> However, most of these exotics are probably sold to private organizations, zoos, breeders, or educational programs, instead of private owners.<br><br> I don't know if this individual website and person are legitimate, but there are indeed legitimate sellers and breeders of exotics in the US.
