So, I've been working at our local grocery store for about 2 weeks now, and I LOVE it. I love the people I work with, the customers, the atmosphere, and the job is just -fun-. All the people going through the lines are super polite and nice and a lot of them are regulars, so they're extremely patient and you can carry a conversation with them.

What I hate? I worked a 6 hour shift today, and out of every customer I checked out, I had ONE rude one, and he just happened to be my last check out of the day. I was checking out the woman in front of him and one of her coupons wouldn't scan so I had to call my manager over, so he starts pitching a fit about 'not having time for this' and 'this is ridiculous' when it only added an extra 45 seconds to the current customer's check out.

Anyway. This man is back there having a hissy fit, and a co-worker heard him and finished up her check out and told the man she was open if he'd like to go to her line, and he goes 'NO! No. I'm already here. Whatever.' Ok? So stop complaining. He gets up and I start to ring his stuff up and he practically throws his discount card at me. >.< And when I asked how he was and if he found everything okay he just mumbled under his breath and when he left and I said 'Have a wonderful afternoon!' he just waved it off and walked out.

There's no need to be rude. >.< Especially about something that can't be helped. We'd all been there all day waiting for the next shift to come in so we could leave and he was just being a jerk. It's so annoying.
