ANSWERS 1. Split nose. Most people got this right. 2. Kangal dog. The Kangal is a separate breed from the Anatolian Shepherd only by coat and color. A lot of people said Kuvasz and Great Pyrenees. The Kuvasz originated in Hungary and the GP in Spain/France. Anatolian & Akbash are most related to the Kangal, BUT the Kangal & Anatolian are the SAME in history except for their coats/colors. 3. Pricked ears in the Norwich. Most people got this right. 4. German bloodlines. 5. Neapolitan Mastiff. 6. Croatia. Yugoslavia would be incorrect here. Yugoslavia is not specific enough; and Croatia is also no longer a part of Yugoslavia. 7. Bouvier des Flandres. 8. Fila Brasileiro. Checking breed standards here would have helped. A LOT of people got this wrong. The English Mastiff is not allowed to show aggression in the ring and is disqualified if it does. 9. Great Dane. 10. Isabella. 11. Cane Corso. I was confused by the answers some people gave me. One answer was Saint Bernard. Firstly, the SB is not Italian and it drools a lot. I got Bullmastiff, which also is not Italian. I got Spinone Italiano (which is Italian, good job there) but is not a Mastiff. It's a gundog. 12. Bull baiting. This was the ORIGINAL use of the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, hence the "bull" in the name of the breed. It was only used by dogfighters later. 13. Chesapeake Bay Retriever. Hardy and red-coated. I got Siberian Husky here. The SH isn't just red coated (does it even come in pure red?), although it is hardy. I also got Hokkaido, which also comes in red, but is not ONLY red. Same with Airedale. The Dogue de Bordeaux doesn't prefer to be without its family outside. 14. Irish Setter. Redbone Coonhound is not a gundog. It's a coonhound. And Labrador Retriever--breeders don't strive to make their dog rich, dark red. 15. Shih Tzu. 1. Great Dane. 2. Bichon Frise. 3. Black Russian Terrier. 4. Bouvier des Flandres. 5. Central Asian Shepherd Dog (Central Asian Ovcharka). 6. American Bully. 7. Labrador Retriever. 8. Rottweiler. 9. English Bulldog. Just Bulldog would be incorrect here. There are several types of Bulldog. 10. Toy Fox Terrier. 11. Norfolk Terrier. 12. Lhasa Apso. 13. Yorkshire Terrier. 14. Italian Greyhound. 15. King Shepherd. 16. Caucasian Shepherd Dog (Caucasian Ovcharka) 17. Afghan Hound. I like how someone told me this was a poor photo. That's the point, silly. 18. Hungarian Puli. 19. Panda Shepherd. bump I'll be putting on another one in the future, BUT, a tip for next time. Read the question thoroughly. For example, the 'ancient Italian mastiff that drools the least' is not going to be a Saint Bernard. :) Thanks everyone. Please send ur contracts!
