xP There's a poster like that at our library. Or there used to be. I think they went a bit too far with that, but in general the books are pretty good.

We used to have an Edward cutout in our school library, lol. Once my friends and I taped a piece of paper that said "real vampires don't sparkle" over his face XD I haven't seen it since then, lol. The cutout I mean. Not the paper. Although I haven't seen that either XD [/rambling]

I've been reading the Vampires Chronicles for 10 years, so I will always be bias as to what real vampires should be. Regarding the book, I can't stand Twilight because it was written poorly(too low of a level for my taste). As for the movie, the main actor and actress can't act IMO. The girl always trembles in every movie she does, and the boy looks like a slob. How so many tweens look up to them is beyond my understanding.

Thank you! I remember trying to give the movie a try, and as soon as he started sparkling I couldn't stop laughing.

At my school, which is all girls, they raffled off tickets for an Edward and Jacob cardboard cut out to raise money. You dont even want to know how much they made :roll:

I personally hated the book. I never saw and don't want to see the movie. I think the only reason they have that poster is because they assume so many kids love twilight it'll inspire them to read. :?

Well, if they want to do that, have the two of them reading another book. Clearly anyone influenced by them has already read Twilight, so move them onto something else. Its not really setting an example other than an annoyance the way it is. Though, I guess that is the intention. :?

I wasn't saying that it was setting an example. That's probably what they were thinking though. It wouldn't make a lot of sense to picture them with a different book though. Even if they were pictured with a different book everyone immediatly thinks of Twilight when they see them. And the idea is probably to promote reading, not just Twilight. :roll:

I'm not a twilight fan. (the books were ok but the movies were awful) Personaly I thought "The Host" was amazing! Why didn't they do a movie of that instead of Twilight

XD My point is totally getting missed, and I wasnt looking to argue about this o.O I was just making a point =P Stick them in a library, WITHOUT twilight in their hands. Doesnt even have to show a book, just show them looking at books or something, and it'd be more useful then having the Twilight books shoved in peoples' faces =P

I am not trying to argue at all.....sorry if it came across this way. I'm just saying that it probably made the most since to the people that did this poster to picture people from Twilight, easily regonizable as people from Twilight with the book Twilight. I think you are totally correct, I was only saying that the reason they did it is because of the fact that everyone knows they're from Twilight. You don't stick some random movie stars in a poster to promote reading unless they have a famous book or something.

I hate Twilight . Flat out . Books , Movies , everything . I personally think the stories weren't themed correctly , with the story they could be a book of about everyone's taste . The movie , I couldn't even watch all of the first one , I paused it and took it back to the RedBox within about 45 minutes . The movie was just plain stupid

/ . && Overall , in my opinion , Twilight is really stupid and annoying(: . ^Personal opinon , please don't rash at me(: .

Ah I agree. When you have men wanting to watch a love story its just creepy. All the boys at my school read and watch the moveies and quite frankly its distubing I hate twilight :evil: They ar3e all EVIL destoyers of the reading world and they corrupt the reality :x

The actors may be under contract to not be seen with any other book and the holders of the Twilight contract not allowed them to be shown together, in character, as they are in that picture, without the book. To me, what's just as annoying as the Twilight fans is the Twilight hater fans. The intensity is the same on both sides, which is annoying to me because good or bad, in the end, it's a fictional story about fictional people, not something to get overly dramatic about. Just like the Harry Potter books and movies, if Twilight gets kids to read even one book, Twilight or HP, or not, it's a good thing. Get the kids in the door, get them hooked on reading something and they might find another title that gets their interest.

I'm not a Twilight hater, by any means. I LOVED the books. LOVE LOVE LOVE. But, it's very very annoying how everyone obsesses over it and it ends up being what everyone is talking about. And that's not even the bad part, you start seeing people wearing the movie shirts and buying posters, but they haven't read the book. Eventually everyone is overly obsessive and it makes the people that actually enjoyed the books dislike them because of what the movie has turned it into. I agree the poster will probably promote kids reading, but I dislike what Twilight has become, because majority of people that have seen the movies, have not and probably will not ever read the books.
