My Puppy..

For those of you that don't know, 5 years ago we got two boxer puppies (Belle and Boozer), and they had puppies about 3 years ago (don't give me crap about inbreeding, the puppies were healthy and it was an accident, we found out Belle was pregnant 3 days before she was scheduled to get spayed), and we kept one of the pups (Murphy). They lived with us until we were forced to move into an apartment, and since then they've been living with my mom's boyfriend. He takes great care of them and he loves them just like we do. Well, they're super gun shy. On New Years Eve, with all the fireworks and gunfire going on, two of the boxers got out, Belle and Murphy. A neighbor up the street found them and brought them home, but nobody was at the house. However, there was a young teenage boy standing in the front yard who claimed to know the dogs, and called them by the wrong names, but the neighbor didn't know any different so he left them. Brian (mom's boyfriend) came home from our house New Years day, and Murphy was sitting out on the porch, which is not a part of the fence, and Belle was nowhere to be seen. After talking to the neighbors, we concluded that the boy must have carried Belle off and left Murphy out to run a muck. We looked all day Friday and yesterday for her, and put out posters. Reported her missing with animal control and even filed a police report on the boy. Since we've put the posters out, we've gotten 3 people telling us they've seen her, two of them on Friday and one last night. We've searched for 3 straight days, but since she's been seen, our original theory has been ruled out. We assume the boy carried her far enough to lose a scent and then she must have gotten away, because she can't find her way home and she wouldn't have run off without Murphy. She's been seen about a mile away from the house 3 times. My mom's out searching again, even after our 6 hour search today. I'm so worried about her. It's so cold at night, and we've got a big coyote problem around here, and she's so small. She's got to be starving. Cookies to anyone who read, please pray for my baby. :[

I know how I would feel if that happened to any of my dogs! I would totally asdkjdlf ! Well, Vi, I'll keep your little baby in my prayers.

Thanks, Lby. And trust me, if we ever find out who it was, my mom will take care of him. She's -so- upset about all this. If we find her, she's coming up here to live with us.

o_o OMG! That's horrible! Who could do such a thing? Taking someone else's dog is like taking a part of them. I know if someone took my baby (dog), I'd be devastated. And the problem with losing your dog is there's no closure. You don't know what happened to her or what will happen to her until you find her. I know exactly how that feels. I pray for you and Belle very much.

Aw. I'm sorry , Vi. Ill keep your Belle in my prayers. I know if i would loose any of my dogs id be really upset. Probably would mope around and try to find the dog. And i have a soft spot for boxers cause 3 of my dogs are boxers. I hope you find her

-Exactly-. We don't know if she's eaten, if she's warm.. it's awful. At this point I honestly think it would be easier to find her dead than it is to sit around and hope and pray she's alright.

Stetson, vi, and vi's poor little puppy will be in my prayers. I feel so bad for you. Make sure the police station is keeping on her case. I hate to say it but if she's small then she could have been stolen for bait. Best of luck.

She's finally home! A woman found her wandering around and took her in, and gave her to her daughter, who lives about 45 minutes away. The woman that had her took her to the vet yesterday and had her stamp scanned (she was given an ID stamp at the pound when she got fixed as a puppy), and my mom's name as well as her old work number and our old home number was given to the woman. But we no longer have any of those numbers because we've moved since then. BUT! Her mom saw the posters and the lady called my mom this morning, and we picked her up about an hour ago. She's been really well taken care of, and we've given her a bath and she's coming to live with us.

They're siblings.. which is why I said none of the 'you're awful people and bad pet owners' comments, ha.
