Lisssssps

edited December 2009 in Vent
I hate them! I have one and curing the thing seems impossible!
I get picked on by my friends and peers, even my family! I was
supposed to go to therepy for it when I was young but never got around to it. It's unfair, and I can't stand it any longer. People look at me funny when a say an "s" sound weird. I've lost dates, friends, and plenty of other things because of it! I'm looking into speech therepy soon but want to get started earlier. Does anyone know of some Lisp excericisesthat could improve the slurring of "s" sounds?

 • My oldest daughter has been in Speech at school since she was in Kindergarten. She is now in third grade and this should be her last year. The main thing is the way you hold your tongue when you talk. We have to read a story every week that has a certain sound she needs to practice on. I am sure you can find some videos on the web about helping speech. Once you find out how to improve your "s" sound it will start to come naturally to you. I know it has for my daughter. :D
