Sayge: Update

You may have seen/heard of Sayge, my new puppy. She just turned 6 months this month! So, we are supposed to be getting her spayed. But, instead, we're keeping her intact until early spring, where we're going to drive to a nearby town that does spaying for cheaper. Right now the roads are too icy, and I've only got a portion of money needed to pay to get it done anyways. BUT! I have to be careful with her now. I'm not allowing any intact males around her without CLOSE, CAREFUL supervision. I don't want her pregnant. First of all: she's a mutt. There's enough unwanted mutts! And second of all: I didn't test her for any genetic problems, etc. SO NO PUPPIES. xD<br><br>So. Would you like before/after photos? Or just the most recent ones? xD I can do either, but for now I'll just post some that I took yesterday.<br><br>What breed do you see in her most? Shih-Tzu? Poodle? Cocker Spaniel? Personally, I see Cocker Spaniel most of the time, then Shih-Tzu, then Poodle. But it all depends on the angle or body part you're looking at. xD She has a very... uhm... round head? Like the Cocker Spaniel. I've never had a better dog! She's not too barky and stops when told, sits on command, lies down on command, walks with the leash slack and right beside me, she's kennel trained, etc. She's struggling a bit with potty training. She knows where to go, just not how to tell someone that she needs to. And begging. But if you say "don't beg" she'll lie down and not face you, considering it "not begging." xD

    she is adorable we got a mutt pup she is a border collie lab mix and we were going to get her spayed but she came into heat befor our appointment and our lab male bred her so we quick took her in to get her checked out to see if she was pregnant and she wasnt so it was lucky and we decided to spay her that day lol. But my golden retriever female had 10 puppies 6 weeks ago and now they are leaving me:( i am so sad.

    Yes, lots of Cocker Spaniel & Poodle fur, man. xD I don't like coarse hair, so I'm glad she has nice, soft, wavy fur. <3

    <br><br>Aww, a Border/Lab? Those are adorable mixes! Good thing she wasn't pregnant. Good job for being a responsible owner and getting her spayed as soon as you knew you could (that is, after she almost got pregnant xD). ;)<br><br>Golden Retrievers = LOVE, MAN, PURE LOVE. I am so sick of not having one. xD I wanted one but I was told, "No big dogs." Instead, I got Sayge. And I don't regret getting her at all, but I would've loved my own purebred Golden. <3 =D You're lucky. But sorry to hear about the puppies! I'm sure they'll all go to good homes!

    When we got pepper, she was the sweetest thing. We let her go through one heat because it supposively makes em calmer. She wen absolutely nuts. She has no relationship with anyone but Roscoe(the dane) now. I dunno if it was because we waited on the spaying, but her sister is fine and she was spayed before her first heat.<br><br>And heats are so annoying to deal with.<br>D:

    I've never heard of a dog being physco from going through a heat. xD And I also never heard of them getting calmer. I think it all depends on the dog and how they handle it.. no idea.<br><br>But we can't get her spayed right now, so oh well. I have to deal with whatever for now. We're NOT letting her get pregnant, though, so we'll keep a very close eye on her. Besides, she's never out of my sight when she's with other dogs. :)
