• More people have died from the flu than the Swine flu.
If you get pneumonia with it, THEN you die. Wear shoes outside if you have the swine flu. xP

It's not airborne either.

 • Sure it has been raised to a pandemic but there have been other deadlier illnesses like small pox and we've delt with it WITHOUT panicking over it

 • Alot of people had/have it. I think people need to realize who can/will get it, but there are high chance it wont kill you unless, you get it and your not taking care of yourself, therefore if you get it, dont keep stuffing your face with mcdonalds, 70 cups of coffee, and run outside nekkid. Its just like the flu, though I think your actually more miserable.

 • People don't have to stop freaking out ,
they have their own opinion and point of view on the Swine Flu .

This post may affend people who have had it and realized how miserable it really is .

I actually had swine flu , it's terrible and miserable .
Not an experience that anyone would want to have , ever .

Most people only freak out because they're afraid of how bad it hurts ,
not how bad it harms .

 • Wanna know something very suspicious?

Baxter Medicine SA (the place where they make and come up with vaccines) PATENTED the H1N1 flu virus vaccination A YEAR before the outbreak. They were known to have kept the flu virus within their buildings in order to make vaccines upon it.... a year ago!!!! June 2008.

So, not gunna lie, the swine flu is real, but the extent of it is A LIE that doctors have been using to make billions of dollars off of the general public. People like you and I are not going to die from it. Do you die from the regular flu?

Babies and elderly people on the other hand could die from it, because of their immune systems. And they can also die from the regular flu.

I've had the flu AND pneumonia when I was in 8 years old and didn't die.

It all depends on your immune system and just what you're getting vaccinations for. Vaccinations- another story.

 • The vaccine isnt working, and most people have/had swine flu and dont/didnt even know it, or so Ive heard from more than one doctor. People think I had swine flu but I didnt get the test so I cant know for sure, and almost all my friends have had it. Its not that bad really, except for sore throats and muscle aches. People can think what they want. I dont think its a big deal, I mean, isnt it like a million Americans, not to mention other people, die every year from regular flu? But whatever. -shrugs-

 • I agree that people need to quit freaking out about it. It's just a different strain of the same flu we've had around. If you have the symptoms and you're a doctor hater (I know a lot of doctor haters..) then that's you're problem and yes it might kill you...but seriously...we are a nation of over-reactive people and it's ridiculous...

Its just a fever. Same thing like the regular flu. Only with a higher fever.

 • Oh my gosh, what really annoys me is now everybody is talking about it. My friend was out of school for a week. I asked her what she had and she casually responded, "possibly swine." I think she'd have known if she had swine flu. I mean, I know it's not as bad as everyone thinks, but people have said it's more miserable. Then, a few says later my other friend was out of school. On the third day she was out, one of my friends said "I don't know, she might have swine flu."

Just because your out of school for more than a day or two does not mean you have swine flu! I mean honestly. People are making such a big deal of it. When that girl came back, she only had strep throat.

But, I do have to say there's been quite a bit more sickness than normal going on. The other day over 200 kids were absent from my school. One of my dad's friends said their son had a class with 16 students in it, and it just went down to 4. That means 12 out of 16 people were absent. In fact, just today I stayed home because I wasn't feeling well!

Gosh, swine flu, regular flu, whatever it is, I hate sickness. :x

 • I had swine flu a couple weeks ago, and in my honest opinion, it wasn't as bad as the regular flu. It lasts for a much shorter period of time than the regular flu, just like Sunny said, I had a higher fever.

I don't know how it is in anywhere else, but I know in my state, there's a shortage of H1N1 vaccinations, and only high risk people can get it (people with asthma for instance). My sister had to get it because she's asthmatic, but I couldn't because I'm not considered high risk. The vaccines also have mercury in them, which, hopefully you all know is toxic to humans. Just for that I wouldn't get the vaccine merely because there's that slight risk it could do more damage than good.

The people that have been reported of dying from swine flu also had some other illness on top of it. An autoimmune disease, or just a poor immune system in general like the elderly or babies like reina said. JUST LIKE THE REGULAR INFLUENZA VIRUS.

It's just like the stupid bird flu epidemic, how long did that last? Not long at all and it's all pretty much blown over now. Swine flu is just another thing doctors can throw in people's faces to make money. If people woulnd't panic at the first word of something potentially harmful without knowing facts, it wouldn't be a big deal and we could focus on important things in the world like the WAR IN IRAQ or the cure for cancer, for God's sake.
