Hollywood & My Hometown.

So i was doing some research on my hometown.. I live outside a small-ish town in Texas and found that...

"One of the most fascinating stories about Mineral Wells and the Baker is that the idea of the "Hollywood" sign that is recognized the world over began as idea seen in Mineral Wells by a Hollywood producer. Mineral Well's own sign that says "Welcome" is still visable on the hillside overlooking the town. "

i found that pretty interesting... there's a few more stories about my hometown that i can pm people if anyone is interested, i just thought that was one of the best =D

Anyone have anything interesting about their home town?

-buffy

We're home to the famous Baker Hotel where Elvis used to preform. Lincoln and quite a few other presidents also stayed there.

We also have "Crazy Water" which is drilled from wells here and sold, people used to spend thousands of dollars bathing and drinking the water.

Under the entire middle of the city are the tunnels used to transport alcohol during prohibition.

That's a few things from out history.

Wheaty-- that's kinda cool about the cows! lol
