Okay people, it is called "virtual"pups for a reason! THE DOGS ARENT REAL! A novice had noticed that I was "inbreeding" my dogs for stat purposes. them: "Don't you know that inbreeding is bad?" me: : "uh ya.." them: "Then why are you inbreeding your dogs?" me: "because they aren't real dogs, I'm doing it for stat purposes." them: "Doesn't it cause defects in dogs though?" me: "In REAL dogs yes, in VIRTUAL dogs no." them:"Oh, well I still think you shouldn't do it on here." me: -ignores and doesnt reply- This has happened to me like 3 times now! ITS SO ANNOYING! It is virtual pups people. COME ON>.> -takes deep breath- -that felt good-

and i saw some kennels that say "We rescue abused dogs" and stuff. Its like WOW people, really?

Maybe we shouldn't get so angry at these novices . Yes, their messages saying 'abused dogs' and 'inbreeding' is childish . But they're just getting into the spirit of the game . So before we bash them, let's think . If we were all so enthusiastic, virtualpups would surely be a lot more interesting . (;

that happens to me alot. Once apparently I was a pit bull hater because I bought like $100 dogs and released them and I got like WHY DO YOU HATE PIT BULLS? blah blah >.> I igged them then they had a "friend" message me.

I hate it when people sell uneutered dogs and say "No one is allowed to breed or sell any dogs they buy from me because it could lead to irresponible breeding." If you don't want someone breeding it, neuter it! :roll:

yeah - i do rescue work but not b/cus the *VIRTUAL* dogs have "been through a lot." I work from the standpoint that the dogs don't have good stats, and that VP as a whole could be improved if more people had better dogs, and didnt just breeed untrained dogs. So yes, I see the merits of rescuing and trying to get better dogs adopted. But you're totally right - it's not out of pity for these bits of computer memory (lol).

If we didn't have bad statted dogs.. everyone would have good dogs, making this pretty boring. I like how there's a challenge factor but not as challenging where it frustrates you too much or is almost near impossible (like some other sites with millions of players). With those bad dogs, it gives the incentive to get the better dog. That's pretty much my spiel and why I don't bother releasing or neutering dogs on this game. There will always be someone making more bad statted dogs so I find its a catch up game you can never win.

Last quick thing. I never had an issue with someone messaging me about 'killing' their dog when I release something I buy from them (because I have no use for it and their ads are bugging me xD) Now that I think about it, I dont get many messages from novices or ads from them. I never have anything stated on my kennel about me not wanting ads. I wonder what I'm doing.. cause then I would totally sell that secret. xD

Tarn, is because you are a sponcer, and when the click 'who is online' then they cant see you are, so you dont get messages xD It mainly novices, like I, who do, or in sponcer's holding kennels

And I, too have had many messages in the past to stop killing their dogs when they buy them. It helps me get money xD Im like 'well, if you dont want your dogs to die, stop breeding bad statted ones and selling them' :roll:

oh i certainly don't think we should try and squash out all bad dogs. I just mean that there are tons of dogs that rot in rescues, and i get them trained up and sold for cheap to novices to give them a chance to start right. I'm certainly not making a big difference, but its more about the players than the dogs to me.

Lmao maybe Woodpecker but they can see when sponsors advertise on bark park. Whenever I do that, I still dont get many messages. I actually get excited when I see my little yellow flag up because I don't get many messages in game. xD Rik, you don't have to explain yourself

. I was simply putting my input in on the subject of people trying to retire/release all the bad dogs, which is something you aren't doing. ^-^ And your making a difference to the people that receive the dogs

Well, I wouldn't get too mad at them in the sense that, at least they are thinking towards the dogs, whether real or fake, we can hope they are applying these concerns in RL too. I have yet to receive a message about releasing dogs (amazing considering I buy and release so much) but... when/if it happens, Ill just ignore them like I do most other messages I get that I dont care about xD

i get messages when i neuter and release rotties, which i neuter and release inbred ones aslong as they aren't trained then i don't pay attention to stats and i here so much about how why do i hate rotties and i just want to clean up some space so VP runs faster and my favorite breed is improved on a large scale

I hope everyone realizes that not all novices are inexperienced because I've been on here for four years and have bred Shiba Inus with the highest stats on the game and I still get ignored by sponsers just by asking "how much is your training" like I don't have the money just because I'm a novice! It's rather rude..

Im not trying to blame novices...but when i was a novice i knew another novice (well i mean novices talk to novices im sure =P) and then i got a message from another kennel Other Kennel: Hey its me Me: Who are you... Other Kennel: Its me ******* this is my other kennel Me: do you have a sponsor. Cool *******: No And i didnt reply after that but they do make new kennels (if they are desprate) for more money thats why i try to get them more money by giving them large ammounts of 100k(its big enough for them i cant spend 100milly lmao) or more and i show them how to show get skills and then to show for other novices and one even earned 5milly

I'm all for hardcore gaming...but it's taking it alittle far. People make no scence. Technically, the dogs are just data on a giant website. Little mini micro bits, that we use as chips to represent and hold value. They arn't actual dogs. >.> Grow up immature childrens. (Nice Rant Coaster!! xDD)

Also...I've been wondering this - about "killing" the dogs... I always thought that since it was a show game, "releasing" them could just mean they go to a pet home - like when RL breeders sell puppies that they don't want to show...is that at all a good explanation? Because it would certainly make *some* people feel better. Haha.

I got a message about a week back, from a 'stop killing our dogs' group, seeing if Id join xD Cause someone was buying/neuturing/releasing their dogs. I politly told them my views, and we discussed it

And, wow Coaster, you vent has lasted alomst 4 months xD

Haha! I get a lot of "stop killing my dogs" messages. Sometimes when I'm really bored, I go on a shopping spree! I'll usually go buy all the low statted cheap dogs of a certain color or breed or something. After those sprees, yes, a lot of hate mail. Sometimes I find it funny and will talk to them but other times I just don't reply. I was asked yesterday to join a "stop killing dogs" group. But, it didn't happen. I think Woodpecker and I may have spoke to the same person. lol
