My lizard. :(

I have a collard lizard and she just got done shedding, well when she started shedding the skin on her face around her eyes, she wouldn't open her eyes so I let nature take it's course. Well last night while I was cleaning out her cage, I noticed that one of her eyes was red and that the other one still had skin shedding from it. She still is active and running about her cage, I gave her water by hand, and I figured that the skin was just irritating her eyes, but she hasn't eaten anything for a few days so it's really worrying me and I haven't been able to find anything. Her diet varies from mealworms, crickets, etc. so I don't believe it's anything she's eating. I have had her for about two years, and when I first got her she layed eggs about a week later. I am not sure about her age though, I am guessing between 4-6. Any ideas of what I should do will be greatly appreciated.

I put a little water on it yesterday, some came off. I guess I will try again.

I would continue the warm water. Wait a week, and if it gets WORSE, a vet trip might be necessary.

I'm going to Petco and see if they have anything to wash out her eye with. I know they have turtle eye drops. But, it doesn't seem to hurt her and her other eye isn't red..I think the skin is just in the way. :?

I went to Petco and got Some Vita-Spray, I put it on her and about 5 minutes later the skin on her eyes popped open, it was weird. o.o If she doesn't start eating by tomorrow I am taking her to the vet.

Her eyes sealed shut again! :shock: I messaged Zoe, I am going to be taking her to the vet tomorrow.

You definately should. It sounds like it's an ongoing problem. On the bright side...
