Power Failage

edited October 2009 in General Discussion
We are getting bad winds here.

Around 3am the power went out and woke me up (I could hear things clicking off) and after that for a good amount of time, the power kept flickering and making the smoke alarms go off.

I couldn't sleep and did some homework by candlelight. By the time I needed to shower, the power was back on.

I left for school discombobulated because I was going to be late. Anyways, the school had power and a couple minutes into my first class (math), the lights flickered and then went out. The generators started up and half our room was lit. Someparts of the school had light and others didn't. Halfway through class all our lights were off. All we did was go over homework and two problems.

Beginning of second class (art) they (administrators etc) said they would let us know by the end of the class what they were going to do. Well art had no light so we sat, talked, listened to ipod and played with phones. Sure enough, at the end of class they told us what they decided. School would be shut :D You could hear the cheers erupting down the halls.

So I hustled out of there, lept into my car and sped away before there was traffic. I got home at about 9:30am. Whoot!

 • Pppfffttt. In homeschool, if it snows or the power goes out, you still have to do school. Even if you're sick, too. >.>

 • Best part. No make-up, hair straightening, you don't even need UNDERWEAR. (though I highly reccomend it. O.o)
And I'm hopping back and forth from reviewing the Reformation to Vp...
in my PJ's

:O

But, as I said, when it flooded, i still had to do school and my brother didn't, so, there's the downside. We do year-round school, too.
Skipping the weeks of Christmas and Thanksgiving. And Halloween when I have a crapload of other stuff to put on.(if I have to do temporary dye, etc. Must look good to take the children trick-or-treating. xP)
