A Lost Kitty

edited October 2009 in General Discussion
I just got off the computer, and then went into the kitchen where Dad was. He had a handful of kitty kibble in his hand and my cat's water dish. I was like... what are you doing??! And he's like, "Come see this." So I go outside, and he places the food down, and this little multicolored orange and grey-colored cat comes running. He was SO hungry. I've never ever seen him/her before... so I'm guessing it's lost. So I went on the computer and looked at lost ads in my city, and this is what I found!<br><br>
Markings: multi-colored, brown, orange black markings, large white paws<br>Additional: spayed, very friendly, 3 years old, last seen wearing a pink flowered collar with her name on it "LOLA" and phone number on back
<br><br>Which looks EXACTLY like her! She is quite friendly, a little scared though, and starving! She won't go into the little cage thing, so she's gunna be outside tonight. We're hoping that is the cat on that lost ad! Dad phoned the number and got their answering machine. :( Pray she will be there tomorrow morning for the owners, if that's even their cat. *sigh* I wish I could get pics.

  • Ah, leave the cat carrier out there. If you have a blanket and a sock, a clock, and some rice, all the better! <br>Put rice in a sock.<br>Warm it in the microwave(HOT, because it'll be warm longer)<br>Wrap it and a (ticking)clock in a blanket.<br>Put it in the carrier near a common spot to find her<br>Leave it.

But those people weren't her owners... theirs was a longhaired cat. :? So I took pics and put a Found thing up on an ad website. Hopefully someone will phone.... pretty hey?

  • =o Is she a tail-less cat? She's very pretty... xD I've always loved the calico dilutes...

  • Aww is that what that color is? <br><br>Nope, she has a tail.. It was in between her legs though. She was a little scared and kinda confused looking, trying to get out of the door, but my cat was there. Didn't want a fight or scrap. She is really sweet though... she headbutts your hand when you pet her lol like my cat, but my cat would never be this friendly to strangers. She runs away.. that's why we CAN let her outside. :(

  • oh she is really pretty. Looks almost exactly like my neighbors cat. Only difference is her front left paw has a little orange mark almost a heart shape.

  • Awwe. I posted that she was Grey/Orange/White but I guess I should have posted blue instead of grey .... but I guess they will see the pics so it doesn't really matter. Can edit the ad anyway. *sigh* And if no one comes forward after we post pics on the mailbox and down the hill we'll probably keep her.

  • Yeah, the color (if I remember right) would be called a diluted calico. The gray was black, the creamy orange was a brighter orange, and it was overlaid by a dilute, probably chinchilla.<br><br>But she's really pretty still. ._. *grabby hands*

  • D'aww, how pretty.<br>I seem to attract starys. xDD<br>We found a White & Blue stray earlier this year (Named him Zoro), but he died this summer of distemper. :(<br><br>Some strays are actually quite friendly, Zoro was a little skitish but as soon as you throw food out for them they always come running back. ^^
  • Aw, she's very pretty! I hope you find the owners, if not, I hope you can keep her! Actually, I've never found a stray animal...although a cat did hide under our porch once, I never saw it, only heard mewing, we tried t coax it out, but it wouldn't come so we left it alone, and it was gone within a day.

  • Awww... well, my parents brought her in last night, got a box and put kitty litter in it, a couple bowls of water and food, and kept herin the computer room. I got up this morning and pet her for like 20 minutes and she is just darling. When you put your hand over her head she stands up on her hind legs and head butts it, its soooooooooo cute. She's so pretty.. but very very skinny, has gotten into fights I'm thinking. Hopefully she's not pregnant... *sigh* I want to keep her. There's no fliers I can find on the internet or around the streets about her so I'm thinking her owners either don't care or... something.. :(

<br>If you live in a rural area, people dump cats off in the countryside areas. They think they'll have a better chance, but they'll just get eaten up by another kitteh.

  • We live within the city, but our city is kinda spread out around the mountains/hills. I agree, if she's been out for a while I'm surprised she isn't injured or hasn't been eaten by an eagle or coyotes yet. <br><br>What Kazuko said I'm pretty sure is her color... dilute calico. The black is grey (blue) and the orange is a lighter tannish orange with stripes. I have more pics, I'll get them up asap! :)<br><br>We might just take her to the SPCA. She's hiding under Mom's bed for now, and we're keeping my cat Pepsi in another room. They got into a fight and I threw her into this room *sigh* What a little goon my cat is. Plus she's like twice as big and heavy and strong so we don't want fights. Little kitty will get hurt.

  • My cats fought when we first got my second as well. Hopefully they'll get used to eachother and learn to get along.

  • Yeah, hopefully.. don't really know what's gonna happen. Might take her to the vet and make sure she's spayed and has no communicable diseases, and just keep her until someone calls. :( She could just be a neighborhood cat that was accidentally let outside or something, and doesn't know her way back. Who knows. All I know is that if my cat got out and got lost I would be devastated. So the least I could do for this kitty is put out fliers, which I have.
