Okay, so I felt like I just have to tell this to more than 3 people. xD

So yesterday, I finally got to go horseback riding again.
Despite mi father thinking that only going 3 times a year on trail horses is enough for me. I don't think so daddy-o. xD I went up to the barn that mi friend Andrew boards his horse and "works" at. He mucks the barn that his horse and another boards in to pay for his board. I'm thinking about saving pu mi money for mi own horse, and I'm going to try and talk to the barn owner about me possibly doing that for board. I'll have to save the money and make sure I have a job aswell so that I'll have money for both gas to get to the barn and vet cost too though before I even bring it up to mi mum.

But anywho-onto the story. xD
I rode the bus to Andrew's house and we stayed there for about 2 hours until his mum got home, she called mi mum to figure out what was going on about when I should be home, and she took us down to the barns.
Since I either want a job at the trail riding stables I usually (possibly use to) go to I wanted to be able to muck a stall and tack up a horse almost perfect. I helped him muck out the barn first, I did better than some people that do it everyday for their own horse. *rolls eyes*
Then I got to sit on Toby (Andrew's halflinger cross gelding that stands at about 14.2 hands) while Andrew lead him up to the top barn where all the tack and the pasture we ride at is.
I got to meet the barn owner and all of her horses in the top barn where the tack room is. Then I learned how to brush and tack his horse, minus the bridle part, because he only uses a halter with rope clipped to the sides for the reins. o.O he has to get a bridle and bit soon, I have to learn how to do that too. xD
But anywho-we lead Toby up to the round pen and Andrew got him all warmed up. Then I got on, mind you-both of us forgot we should've tightened the girth back up. I was going to go into a trot, but ended up at his fast canter (a gallop for a larger horse) and it went to hell after I went around one time. I'm use to pulling on a horse with a bit, Toby doesn't use a bit, so he wouldn't stop when I just pulled them back with mi one hand I was holding the reins with. x.x The saddle starts to slide to the left, the fence is on the left. I didn't want mi face smeared across the fence of the pen, so I half-fell half-jumped off of him and the back of mi right shoulder hit the fence, so I have a nasty bruise. -.-
Then Andrew practiced him on his barrel routine because competition is on Sunday. He's still wonky going around the first barrel at a canter and still doesn't do the keyhole right coz he's scared of the cones.
Then I rode him for about a half-hour. I trotted him down to the brush pile, brought him around it at a trot and then cantered him back to the other end of the pasture. I did this about 5 times and then he ended up almost cantering right into a old rusted metal wheelbarrow and he refused to stop on command after that. X.X o.o it was not safe. xD But I kept him at a trot for another time around, all the way around the round pen past the other pasture and then back to the other side where they were helping fix the fence so the electric would carry better. o.O And he started listening again, so I went around again. O.O I took him back around the brush pile at a canter and brought him down to a trot when I was almost back to the other side, but he decided to go back to a canter, stop listening and go right, down the hill and into the barn. o.o mi feet had fallen out of the stirrups. x.x but I was still holding on. xD (so I know I can atleast ride without stirrups. xD ) I almost hit mi head off the loft and then I got pissed. -.- Andrew came walking down as I was pretty much yanking Toby out of the barn by his reins. Andrew was pissed. o.o He ended up finally straightening him out. We didn't have time for me to watch him jump, so I trotted him down to the barn and we untacked him, took him down to his barn, rinsed him off and went home to Andrew's to eat dinner.
It was tasty.

And so there you are, the extremely long version (they all are) of mi most recent horseback riding experience.
A whole batch of cookies to you if you read it. xD
