Dog eye problems...help?

My dog just woke up from a nap and she has eye crap that madded her eye shut, plus she has long curly fur so that makes it worse.<br>I clean her eyes in the morning and then she's fine the rest of the day.<br>Well today it's really bad..I took some warm water and a wash cloth and tried cleaning it off, I got some off but it's like glued to her and her eye is closed shut...I've never experienced it so bad before.<br>I know poodles are prone to have "eye boogers" <br>Everyone has said it's not a big deal, but I plan on taking her to the vet just incase it's an infection. I looked around trying to find methods to get it off but I've come across blank.<br>So, would anyone know what would clean it off?

    warm salty water usally works for my cav's but make sure you dont get it into their eyes lol <br><br>But dont get the water from the tap boil the kettle and leave it to cool then add salt a keep stirring and keep adding ( until it all dissolves)hope it works : )

    It would be hard not to get it in her eyes. lol.<br>Plus her eye looks a little swollen, I'll be going to Petco today to get some eye drops, wipes, etc. and my mom is going to cut the fur away from her eyes. We groom her at least every 3 weeks becuase her fur is outrageous.<br>But I will try your method.
