For my fellow reptile peeps out there

edited September 2009 in General Discussion
xD I love the title. Anyways, I'm giving my *coughcoughviciouscough* Little leopard gecko to another friend, she has more time to spend with her. I could easily rehome the other one, she's gorgeous and very calm, until you touch her, but she could be socialised. Tiny percentage of carrot(sp?) tail. If I were to rehome her, what all could I fit into a 55 gallon tank? (That's social?)

 • I would say a few anoles or a collard lizard. I've had both, best lizards ever.
Oooo! Or a chamelion.
Geckos don't seem that social.
 • Aren't anoles mean?

 • Not if you buy some that where captive bred. :D
 • I'm terrible at socialising. I feel so bad when they bite me from fear.

 • It's no biggy, they are lizards. And if I saw a giant hand coming out of the sky I would bite to. XD
 • I feel bad for them though. I guess I just have to get my uncle to do it. xD

 • Pretty sure a cham can't fit in a 55 gallon tank. They need mesh and it needs to be tall not long.

Edit

I wouldn't call any reptile socialized either. xD They put up with it to an extent. They aren't like a dog or cat.
Why not a bearded dragon? I have heard awesome things about beardies. Or maybe some type of skink or maybe a uromastyx. Although I am not fur sure what size of tank they need for adult size.

 • My mom says they get too big. I don't think so. I have the 55 gallon. would it be ok for a beardie?
