Migrane

edited September 2009 in General Discussion
Ah. :x

I woke up today and was fine. Then I got this blurred vision, followed by an awful haedache.

I had some nausia, and dizziness.

Then I got really scared. I kept mixing up my words. I was trying to tell my dad I was dizzy and kept saying "I'm dentist." I knew I was saying it wrong, but couldn't control it. I mixed up a couple other things too.

About twenty minutes later that stopped.

I went to the doctor, who said it was a migrane. He said it is possible for those symptoms to occor during a migrane. I'm worried about it happening again. It's scary. And bad. And I don't like it. :(

I've been having odd symptoms off and on all day today.

Now my legs ache. I'm tired. Blah. :( :x

 • D: Aww, hope you feel better.
I never get migranes but I get outrageous headaches because of my allergies.
 • I get them all the time the best thing take advil right when it starts (2 extra strength, and if you don't get it right when it happens it may not work, also you are allowed to take up to 4 extra strength when it's starting the a addition 2 tylonal after.), I think that's way to much but my doctor told me that, lay down in the dark and if you can fall asleep. If you don't mind the music when having one (somepeople don't some do), play some relaxing instrmental or possible sounds of nature etc?

Trust me I get them all the time, I found what my trigers were (hormonal, not eating, not enough sleep.)
Also I'm taking the pill to help keep them in check and have them less. If they get really bad and your having them and you can't get on with your life you may want to consider that. Trust me I've been on it for almost a year and it works. I only get them now when I don't eat for a long time or if I have a cold and theres noise etc.
 • Thanks. This is actually the first bad one I've had. I am wondering if it has something to do with not enough sleep. :?

 • Lots of things can cause migraines. Stress, low blood sugar, severe weather change (hot and sunny to cold stormy), hormones, changes in sleep patterns (too much or too little sleep), and too much physical exertion.

 • Ah yupp I have that Migrana syndrome thingy that I've forgotten the name of too D:

Sleep is probably the best thing, some pain killers dont do anything I've found.. and you may feel better after vomiting however gross that may seem.

I don't get blurry vision though, I get a spot that's 'missing' from my sight.. so I tend to walk into things.. expecially if it's at school :\ I'm also not on any medications which I'm grateful for and my causes are most likely a reaction that we dont know what is.. Also mine was passed on my from my father so you might want to check if anyone in your family suffers from Migranes and you might be able to pinpoint what your triggers are.

:D
