Everyone's afraid of them, right? Unfortunately, they're a pretty big fear of mine. And last night, I happened to fall on one. With my foot. o_O

A couple is renting out our trailer for the long weekend. They're paying for it and asked that we take EVERY SINGLE ONE of our belongings out. They didn't even want dishes or pans in there to borrow (which we would've been fine with). So my mom took out the last bit of our stuff: the cutlery. She just put a bunch of knives, forks, spoons, etc. in one of those "keep earth clean & green" walmart bags. (The ones that are supposed to be replacing plastic bags). She set them in the hallway before dinner and didn't have time to put them away (she forgot about them I assume). My dad then took in our matresses from the trailer and set them on the wall beside the bag of cutlery (my mom had no knowledge of this). Of course, the matresses couldn't be laying flat if they were leaning on the wall. So, the were slanted and it was hard to get past them. (It was in a hallway - so a small space).

I had no idea what was in the bags. No one had told me what was in them. So as I was letting the dog out, I easily slipped past the matresses and bag to open the door. Sayge ran outside and I started heading back to the living room. Instead of safely and effortlessly getting over the matresses and bag a second time, I slipped off the matress and landed on the bag. Since the pressure from one of my feet was leaning on the bag, a knife went through the side and my other foot landed right on it.

It was deep enough to need stitches. Thankfully, it was a clean knife. (Although, I have my vaccinations anyways). We waited 3 hours in the hospital before being informed by a VERY busy doctor that it was superficial and all I would need is steri strips. I doubt that's all I needed, but whatever. He was busy and wanted me to leave so he could tend to the other million patients. Plus, I was relieved. I've never had stitches before and although I'm not afraid of needles, I was scared of the pain the numbing needle might inflict.

So I went home with steri strips and a bandaid over my cut. xD It still hurts and I'm supposed to avoid putting any pressure on it until the wound heals up. Which means: danunanunanuna... CRUTCHES!
< I hate crutches. ;_;

But, my incident could've been worse. -whipes forehead in relief- I'm just mad that the nurse said I'd need stitches (along with my dad) and the doctor said it was FINE.

Blah blah. Sorry to bore you. Cookies to all who read. ;D

(If this post is too... unsettling for too many players, please delete it!)
