I have an arab and half arab farm and all the horses are arabs or half arabs and well my one quarter horse and my dad just got a racing thorughbred right off the track and said here is your new hunter horse i was like ummmm seriously you get me a horse right off the track accept me to calm it down and train it and its a thorughbred I have onlky arabs and half arabs and you get me a racing thorughbred why? He said I thought it was pretty like come on how lame is that I idn't even want a new horse I have brass why would i want one right off the track for 10k when i could get a perfect little arab for cheaper grr..he makes no sense sometimes!

XD come on hun.. you might turn out to love this horse to death. Maybe he wants you to learn how to work with horses like this for the future. He prolly doesnt want you refusing to work with horses that your scared of/need to work with. Id GLADLY accept the TB XD So just take it in stride as a learning experience lol.... AND also.... i want pics XD :twisted:

Hah, I find this ironically humorous. Some people would LOVE to own a horse, yet you are complaining because you are given one? I have wanted a horse all my life, and it makes me slightly annoyed that you're going to complain about getting one. Id understand if you had NO interest in horses, but since you already own some... you clearly must like them, so why throw this one aside? Think of it as a new challenge.

LOL I dont have enough property to own a horse =/ My parents were talking yesterday (and I wasnt supposed to hear I dont think >.>) and they were thinking of asking the people who own the property behind us if they'd sell an acre or two so we could get a horse. >.> Im not getting my hopes up though xD

I understand but i'm mad that he bought it for 10k and i got it on a lead and he reared strait up in the air and took of running. I mean I love working with horses and all but I don't think he \should have bought a crazy horse I would have been fine if he would not have spent 10k I don't let him spend over 5k on my horses and he tries to buy me 20k horses and I don't want them.

Well, maybe he just thought he was doing good for you ^^ If he's wanting to spend a lot on a horse, perhaps hes just trying to get you the best. Its honestly not something Id be upset about. I might feel bad if anything.

Yeah I know I just expected him to be a little cheaper considering how hyper and crazy he is. As soon as I get him to actually stand i'll give you pics.

Yeah I just hate when he spends all this money when i have a perfectly good horse in my pasture well actual about 30 good horses in my pasture.

Also today I taight my NSH to park out haa lol o_0 which is something I thought I would never do considering I don't like saddleseat showmanship (thats why i taught him to park out so i could show him in that) i'll get pics.

Don't you think that's a little mean to your father? That you got mad over him spending 10k on a horse he thought you would like? Just imagine how that must make him feel, thinking he did something nice for his daughter that she would love. I don't know. :?

no he told me i would hate it when it was coming out of the trailor and i got mad because i tell him not to spend that much on my because I don't need a horse that expensive and he alway buys me expensive horses knowing that if he buys me a 1k arab i can make it perfect. See if you knew how me and my dad were you would understand we our always butting heads about expensive horses.

That you didn't want him to spend the money, just maybe tell your dad that he didn't have to spend so much for your horse but that your glad to have it, and for your father's sake, at least try to give it a chance?[/quote] Yeah like I told him thanks and everything you know I wjust told him i was mad that he spent that much money on him, I mean nothing against thoroughbreds there just not my favorite breed you know and he has been talking about getting me a little project to work on and i expected another quearter horses and i was just when i saw a huge 17hand tall thorughbred raging out of our trailor rearing and bucking you know haha.

I don't really think this is anything to vent about, my parents couldn't even afford to buy a 10k horse when I was younger. So, be happy that you actually can have one and stop complaining, no offense. :?

I went out and tried to work with him and he wa s rearing and he broke our stall door do i got him out lunged him and he went nuts then he just starts rearing and i'm use to that so it didn't matter then when he stared rearing so high he would fall i have a problem with that so i put him in a pasture by himself and he has been running in circles for about an hour and a half

I understand but i don't want a 10k horse i want a cheap horse that i can ride normally and train without having to worry about then rearing starit backwords. I don't like expensive horses that are already trained i like training then and he always is spending money on my sister and i don't want him to do the same for me.

I don't but he does not listen 10 of those are mine and the rest out my sister 4 of mine our forsale though as of today to pay my dad bak some of his money . I tol \d him since he must buy me horses constantly buy then cheap.

A few months ago i decided to buy super cheap arabs as in under 1000 and train them very good and sell them for more money and give 3/4 of the mney to my dad. I was saying if he bought me horses i would want cheap horses i meant.

Well, like I said if my parents had the money for things such as that when I was little, I would have been happy about it, no matter what kind of horse it was. I understand that you want to do something nice for your dad, maybe you should say thanks next time? That's a start at a nice thing, instead of getting mad about it work with what you have, and if you re-sell your horses after you train it then you could always sell this one.

Yeah like I told him thanks. I said that in my other message. Yeah i posted a message saying i was working with him so you should read them so you don't tell me the same exact stuff i already did.

I did read every single message that was posted onto this thread. You are talking in circles, you say you do and don't want him. :? I just find it weird that anyone would vent about there dad getting them a horse, that I know a lot of younger children would love to have. :roll:
