:O I love the first one! What kind of camera do you use? Try using the close up setting when taking flower pictures if you don't already. That's what I do, but I love them. XD

thanks! ;3 erm.. a nikon coolpix.. 8.0 megapixels.. lolz no idea XD just read it off the camera.. o.o close up setting? xD i can take pictures and zoom into em like this: <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/krowfailz/3772899205/"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">http://www.flickr.com/photos/krowfailz/3772899205/</a>; ... dunno if thats what you meant x3 haha.. xD

very nice! what i can say is try to be a little cleaner when your editing -example- is the first pic, its very nice, but around the colorful flowers you can see green and natural then it kind of chops into black and white

Okay, I am better with Nikon. xDD Here is the close up setting(known as macro): <a href="http://mommieswhoclick.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/macro_settings.jpg"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">http://mommieswhoclick.com/wp-content/u ... ttings.jpg</a> It looks like a flower.

It works really good when your up close. -hince the name- XD

Hey, something I've found when doing this, is that it's slightly harder BUT you will end up with cleaner lines if you select the colored flower, paste it onto a new tab, then make the original picture completely desaturated. THEN get the colored flower and paste it onto the unsaturated picture and then erase the rest of the selection except for the flower. I will show you.... but can't right now.

I know what you mean

you basically have 2 layers. one that is the whole picture, de-saturated. The other is a cut-out of the bit you want coloured, which you just place over the top of the background.. Its what i do xD

I kinda wish they weren't sideways xD. You're doing pretty good! Simple stick figure plans will help you decide where to put things and how big to make things and how far apart they should be.
