So we all remember Kaytee's great grandfather last year who was diagnosed with lukemia? Well. My papa on my fathers side (my grandfather), in his sixties. He's been diagnosed with a carcinoid tumor. Its cancer. This kind of tumor cannot be treated with radiation/chemo. It was in his small intestine, which is the worst kind. It spreads to important organs, such as the liver and lungs and whatnot. They did surgery, and took out most of it. There are few successes on getting it treated, unless you get a liver transplant, because thats where it normally heads when it spreads. Well, I'm pissed. I don't want to lose another close family member. I'm stunned. I'm extremely depressed now, and I wonder if I'm going to be able to take this kind of loss again. :/ My father is heading to Ohio with his brother, my Uncle. Today hasn't been good.

aww, sunny...i feel your pain. i really do. i just recently lost a very close friend of the family and it was terrible. I hope everything goes well and that you get through this at ease. if you need to vent anymore or just need someone to talk to, my inbox is always open,

Oh no.. not again! I HATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTE cancer. HATE! So it's gone malignant..well the doctors better do something quick before it goes anywhere else. I'm sure they can excise part of his intestine, I mean it's done before. He could probably get a jejunostomy or wherever it is in the SI, and then get a partial hepatectomy.

Excision of a piece of the liver.. The part that is cut out will grow back but it won't be cancerous. You will have to tell me how everything goes. If they take out the parts that have the tumor, and clean it all up, it probably won't recur for a while. :( I'm sorry about this, but just pray he won't be lost to it.

Right now, I'm really just hoping that there is a way to get rid of ALL of it. We don't know where it's spread... And its sitting on a really bad area on the liver

Aww. ;.; Sunny... I lost a great grandpa recently to cancer to... But he didnt want it to be treated so yea. I hope that your granpa get better and they get it removed.

Meh. I have a success story of breast cancer. An un-successful story of pancreas cancer tho. :P My dad's friend just died the other day from pancreas cancer or something. It had spread everywhere. He has to go to a funeral now.
