Copycats

Can't you just come up with your own ideas rather than literally copy and paste the EXACT idea? At LEAST word it differently, I mean, <span style="font-style:italic">really</span>. It doesn't really h-x-c tick me off but I just can't wrap my brain around people who do that. Or like, the minute you come up with your own idea, you see the exact same thing reproduced by someone else. If someone takes your layout coding and messes around with it, changes the colors, fonts, etc, you can't really PROVE that they stole it, can you? <br><br>The age group on here is so vast that when you're dealing with copycats, you're probably dealing with someone younger than 13 years old, who either don't care/don't know the effects of copyright infringement. <br><br>Not just layout stealing, but numerous other things that have happened to me on this forum, and to others.<br><br>So please, even if you like someone's idea, don't copy it unless you ask permission for it. I would have gladly let you use my idea if you would have just asked. But because you didn't, that just makes me thing you're a big copycat with no original ideas. Honestly...<br><br> :?

    It happens to me a lot. xD Mostly suggestions. I can think of at least two times I've asked an admin if I could do something, been told NO, and then seen someone else do that exact same thing a month later, and have the admin's full support on it. It's quite vexing. xD
