Wacom Tablet.

edited August 2009 in General Discussion
Okay, so, bluey finally has the money to get a tablet and still have enough to make her feel good. xD

I'm mostly set on getting a Wacom Bamboo Fun, [small size], but what do you artists out there use?
I just want to hear some opinions on different types of tablets. :]
My price range is up to 200$.
the Bamboo Fun is 99$, and I quite like that price. :3
I first saw this tablet at Best Buy today, and I've been researching it, and mostly people say it's a pretty good starter tablet. I don't need a huge space to work on, the size of the Bamboo Fun is pretty good, actually. :3
So, any pros/cons on the Bamboo Fun and other tablets you've used? :]

On a 6x8 the drawing area is the size of her whole tablet. A bit bigger, than it, I think, actually. However, she draws very large. So she adored my 6x8 when she spent the night. Now I'm not sure about you, but I draw very tiny, so a smaller tablet would probably be a little bit better at times.

Think of it this way. Bigger tablet, longer strokes. Smaller tablet, smaller strokes. Think of how you draw.

 • I have a Wacom Bamboo Fun, and it is AMAZING. It has the wonderful pen on paper feeling, and it comes with 3 extra nibs, (which are the tip replacments). Size is so not an issue, it captures the intire screen with amazing acuracey, and it comes with 3 free drawing tools. It's only around 100$ and it works like a pro. I siggust it highly. ^3^

 • A lot of people who draw on paper say that smaller tablets are better because of the smaller hand motions they're used to. xD I've used a small/medium one, and a super-large one, and I find the smaller one to be easier for the drawing space, but the larger to be more useful because of all the cool things it has. xD
