Everyone told me not to vent about something so small...

But you know me and I'm going to anyway.

So this is NOT DIRECTED TO ANYONE, I would first like to say. There has been alot of this happening, but you prolly know if you did it. I'm not attacking you. I'm attacking everyone who's doing it. xD Kidding. It's starting to happen alot so if you were doing it or telling me to get over it, don't say I was directed at you... cause I wasn't. Ok. I'm done with that. If you still feel like I'm attacking you, report me to an op. ;)

Kk. So I remember a few months ago I entered a raffle with lots of prizes I needed. A few widely known people entered, so I thought it was safe. It was on the forums. I bought like 1 mill worth in tickets and then I never got my prizes. They wouldn't pm me back. (I got first place, if I hadn't said.) I'll have to dig up the name I guess. It's just so frustrating. I kinda ranted a bit on chat and some people were telling me that it's my fault and I shouldn't have entered. Witw? It's a RAFFLE. Posted PUBLICLY. By a sponsor, not a newbie. It was for great linearting, obviously practiced for awhile. But somehow it's my fault for not getting the prizes? I dunno...

Another thing, I've posted on a bunch of giveaways. There was one where I posted for a large prize. I posted third or fourth. I was training and she gave me two minutes because I was on chat I guess? Then, once two minutes were up she gave it to someone like two behind me! I came back about one minute after the two minutes. No one else had a time limit. Ugh. It just pisses me off. It's FALSE ADVERTISING. I can make my own monies. I'm not a newbie. I'm a sponsor trainer that also makes banners. But when someone kinda promises me something and then just says "Oh, nevermind." it just makes me so mad. >.> And none ever said sorry. And then, I looked to others to support me and people said again, it was my fault and make my own freaking monies. O.O It made Pepper cry. xD No. Pepper's not that sensitive, but she has rant issues.

Mmk. Rant over. Don't post if you're gonna be un-supportive. I've had enough hate to last me a lifetime.

Alright, NOW I'm done. xD Please make meh feel bettar.

Rawr.
-Pepper

 • I never enter raffles - simply because the good ones are too expensive and the other ones are crappy. xD And because I don't trust people unless I know the "raffle holder" really well. Still, I don't like raffles. BUT, that's not what I'm getting at. What I AM getting at is this: it's not at all in any way your fault. If many people (who are good, trustworthy sponsors that are well-known) entered, you'd think it'd be at least safe. Then again - all those people didn't know it was a scam or false advertisement either... but anyways, it's still not your fault. They should have kept their word. I wouldn't understood if they messaged back saying, "Sorry, I had to cancel the raffle!" before they chose winners, but not saying anything and already choosing winners is absolutely ridiculous.

I have nothing much to say about the giveaway thing.... except... Why should there be a time limit...? And only for you? That's both unfair and... well, unfair!
 • The same thing happens with a lot of banner/layout contests. People decide they just don't wanna fork up the prize when the time comes.

That's precisely why I don't do contests unless I really trust the person holding it.
