Volunteering

yay =D I might be volunteering at a shelter (finally)

So many of them want you to be 18 to volunteer, and while Im so close, its still not good enough >.< but, I finally found one that allows 16+, so, I'll be good =D

Anyway, I have to go in in a couple weeks to figure out what Im gonna be doing. Im hoping to do Photography for them... but, not sure, because Im sure a lot of people want to do that xD I might take in examples just to prove that I know what Im doing (but, would that seem...weird to do that?)

Does anyone else here work at a shelter? Im pretty sure a couple people do... but, not postive xD And, if so, what do you do/what would be the best things to sign up for doing?

Thanks =D

 • I volunteered at a shelter when I was in the sixth grade.

Walking dogs and playing with the cats.

Sounds fun, right?

--

I brought home fleas to my cats & dogs.
It took a few weeks to get rid of them.
..and so I quit volunteering there.

 • My dogs are on Frontline xD And they are up to date on shots and stuff, so, I dont have to worry about bringing kennel cough home or anything.

I dont really see the risk being any greater than going to agility trials and taking my dog to the petstore/park =/

Unless..I should be worried?

Im a germaphobe for my dogs and I xD I was already planning on coming home and taking a shower right away before even touching my dogs.

Thanks for confirming that though ^^ I dont want to have to worry for my dogs safety. Im sure everyone else (or most everyone) at the shelter has their own pets at home as well. This place looks really clean and kept up, so.. Im sure they manage the dogs well.
