I was thinking, there are some really nice colors out there that are just overpopulated! I'm of course talking about gifties. I'd love to be able to help lessen the over population a bit. I'm not sure if this idea will be put into action or if I'll just go solo. But it's basically where multiple players choose a color(or colors) to specialize in finding and persuading the owners to part with them by either offering training, VPC, art, whatever, and you won't need to give the money out of your own pockets most of the time. We'll hopefully get some players generous to donate, or I and some others can use their services and give a small portion of what we earn to a 'pot' or a kennel. I think it would also be a good idea to keep the dogs we purchase there in that kennel so people can't say 'itz a rar coler!' and such to get more money for it. Just some thoughts. I've been working with the 'Scruffy Brown w/ a Classic Red Collar' color. I've gotten it down to 18 so far by means of changing the dog's color and such. What do you all think? And please, don't just say it's pointless and leave. It's no more pointless than the 'lessen the crappy dogs of THIS breed!' drives.

O.o i totally started this about a month ago! a lot of siberian huskies have gifty colors and a lot of rescues it seems like has them. so i've been buying them and releasing them. but i never thought about changing the color! if you need help just PM me ;D i would love to help for this cause.

If they're stuck between the ages of release/retire, you can send them to Three Fates, and I can do it! I have a whole bunch of other dogs I need to age, so I would be convenient to do both at once. Just leave something in the contract notes, so I know what it is.

I think the best way of doing it would be getting everyone to work on one color, so we make large improvements rather then small dents everywhere. I think we should make a list of colors that we'd like to work on, and then prioritize them according to how many there are. You could set the topic while we're working on a certain color to: 'Current Project: I-pod Nano' or something similar, just to throw a little organization into all of this. Everyone would post the amount they've released/changed the color, and we'll see how much we can decrease it by all of us working on one color at a time. A post could even be made probably in community events, as this could be made into one. x3 No prizes or anything, just everyone who's willing to donate whatever. Whether it be dogs to trade the owners, VPC, or their time spent.
