Man, I can't even begin to say how much I hate people who are rude!! Who always ask for things or demand them cause they're either to lazy to do them, or just want you to do the work and claim the prize!! :x I'm not one to vent but damn. . . There are too many people in the world who are, well to me, losers. I'm not calling anyone out on the forums but when I take about 30mins - 1 hour of my life, to sit down at a computer and do a graphic for someone's 'virtualdog' and then not even get a THANK YOU. . .! Oh wow, I had to ask like 5 times if they even LIKED the bloody pic! :evil: I'm not searching for "Oh my god, your wonderful!" I'm looking for a "Thank you for taking your time for doing this for me." Cause like reina posted about a month ago, and I quote her wonderful words -

Half of the people who make graphics on this game deserve to be paid real cash, because they are taking time out of their life to make something for you, and they don't even know you. Since real cash exchanges are not allowed, you are only paying them virtual money which has absolutely no value for something that has a lot of value. Don't complain about how long it is going to take, or when they are going to be done. They don't owe a thing to you. They are offering their services and retain the right to take them back whenever they want. -reina.

We take time out of our LIVES to sit down at a computer and make a beautiful piece of art for people we don't even know and its not like we're getting paid real money. . . A little, "thank you" would be plenty for me.

Sorry for the vent and I'm sorry if I affended anyone, sounded rude, or totally crazy. Its just, sometimes people get to their limit and when theres nowhere else to go, a silly little vent on forums is the best lol

That's how I feel. and I hate it when people are like "are you done yet." ... one day later ... "are you done yet." -.- It's so annoying

Especially if your art is as good as Bobbers.

*sigh* I should. :roll: Oh, and what I love EVEN BETTER is when the person gets one of their 'friends' to message you saying, "why'd you put so so on ignor?!" :x One, its more than likely the same person with more than one account or two, a really nosy friend.

I always asked to use someone elses pictures for something, I always asked to use a banner that one made for another person, because I know the creator spent alot of time making their artwork. Its amazing the nerve of some people

Thank you. I never did art, and I was always patient when I had a friend do a banner, or some sort of artwork for me. And it was always amazing. I always asked to use someone elses pictures for something, I always asked to use a banner that one made for another person, because I know the creator spent alot of time making their artwork. Its amazing the nerve of some people

Its good to know that people agree with me. I thought for sure when I post this there was going to be someone who would come a long and say something rude. But yes, thats very kind and considerate of you Sunny

It shows the maker that indeed they are appreciated in some way or another.

Ohman. There's something I found that's perfect for this. Someone wrote it on another site. The only way someone can truly understand how much a simple "thank you" means to an artist, is if they've been on both sides of the fence.

We are not slaves. We do not work for free. We do not have the time to simply give & give & give. We aren't robots. We do expect your patience. We don't like to deal with people who constantly ask when we'll be finished. We are trying to reach perfection and that can only be reached with time. We are only human. We might lie about the progress of something to get you off our backs for once. We have to deal with school and jobs and boyfriends and drama, too. We can't work magic here. If your character is ugly, we'll try our best. But don't yell if it isn't gorgeous. We get art blocks some times and things come out bad. It just happens. We always have far more projects than we can handle. We like to make gifts before commissions. They're funner. We enjoy what we do, but art isn't our life. We can and will get sick of it. We enjoy trying out new things and testing the waters a lot. If the style of your picture isn't the same as something we did for someone else, then we're sorry. We often let our own emotions affect your pieces. It can't always be helped. We will say we can draw something even if we know we can't. Sometimes, money gets in the way of our thought process. We are almost always proud of our finished pieces - so yes, we do get hurt sometimes if you want something changed.

Well, since I almost NEVER charge money for my art, I don't so much mind the real cash over VPC thing. But, I think i'd rather be paid VPC since it benefits the game were playing. RL cash is too personal for me. But, I do expect thank yous and such. But I normally get them, so no complaints. : )

Well, I normally ALWAYS charge for art pieces, since they takes ages. But banners take like 15 minutes tops. XD

thanks for posting that! And the reason I charge for my art is because I need motivation to draw something for somebody else. I just NEED it or else it might come out horrible. However, in cases of gifts, my motivation is the other person's happiness when they receive it
