Horrible News, Involves Friend, and Cancer

Well, I'm feeling horrible, and I'm not ill... :cry: <br><br>My friend, Paula, has been diagnosed with a form of leukemia :cry: . I don't know much about whats going on at the moment, and I just found out yesterday. It has something to do with either blood, or the bone marrow. I need to call her brother today to see whats going on, but I'm worried. They say that caught it so soon that she should be fine, but it still worries me.<br><br> :cry: Whats worse is her older brother, is in Brazil, when she was supposed to go this year, but decided to let him go instead. So he found out while in brazil, on a soccer trip. <br><br><br> :( I don't know what to do becuase I know theres no way I can really help her...<br><br> :( I ask that you pray...thats all

    Well, you can visit her.<br>I can help to visit her and give her positive vibes to make her stronger.<br>Sounds cheezy, but it's true.<br>Um, yes we can all pray to the lord!!!!<br>My grandfather was diagnosed with kidney cancer, and all I can say is that you're lucky she will live....<br>Um, positive vibes and lots of support!     <span style="font-size:92">I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. \: <br><br>Positive side to it, though, is that leukemia is one of the most treatable types of cancer. It may not be completely curable, but it an be treated to send people into remission (where the disease stays dormant and the person shows no symptoms or signs of being sick and it's not affecting their health or lifestyle), but of course they can relapse and things can get worse. But leukemia is treatable, and it can be gotten rid of permanently if it is caught early enough.<br><br>I'll keep your friend in my prayers, and like whisperer said, stay positive and strong for her, and that will help. She's gonna need to fight to get better.</span>

    thank you so much you guys :) <br><br>And i have new news:<br><br><br>Her brothers have all shaved their heads to make her feel at ease and to show that they are there for her. I may get to see her soon, but when I called her brother he seemed to be acting strange (of course, its understandable) so I'll have to talk to him later

    aw...<br><br>he still hasnt called back, but i just relized he has soccer tomorrow at the same time i have volleyball, so if he goes i might get to see him and find out whats going on :(

    they found it a a about a week and a half ago(I think, thats what I've heard anyways), but i didnt find out until 2 days ago. She has started chemo. <br><br>and Vi, I wouldnt joke about something like this alright.<br><br>I just foundout she has the AML form (it usually occurs in older adults but she is only 18 )<br><br>and my sisters keeper is about a girl who is genetically engineered to save her sisters live from cancer. I've seen the previews
