yet another book i've started...

---> She loved him. She hadn't even met him, but she loved him. Daray was positive of this. As soon as she had opened the door of the youth group van. Alex had to drag Daray into the van, because she had absolutely no intent to actually get on.<br>---> The ride to the church was simply unbearable ; Alex was trying to talk to Daray, but all Daray was doing was staring. At him, at Bobby. He even had his little nephew/cousin with him. She thought that was just beyond adorable and made him look pretty responsible... But Daray's daydreaming was abruptly interrupted as they finally made it to the church.<br>---> Daray practically fell off the van while she was so busy staring again. It's a wonder how no one noticed. After seeing Andi with her hoard of friends she finally got herself together. Andi was Daray's best friend, Daray would tell her anything and everything... Usually. this time she didn't want to tell, mostly because of Andi's friends not being very fond of the black race. <br>---> Andi and Derek walked over to help with Daray's pile of stuff she brought with her, she was going to sleep over at Andi's tonight. They dragged her stuff over to Derek's mom's car, a nifty hybrid, and managed to get it to fit in the back. Derek was Andi's boyfriend. Even though Daray has heard of numerous fights between them, they were meant for each other from how she saw it. Adam and Mikey met them about half-way and walked back with them. Alex just kind of wandered off somewhere, as did Bobby. Daray wasn't really interested in finding Alex or anything else, she wanted to meet and get to know him. This was different for Daray, she never bothered to make a fuss over a guy.<br>---> Everyone was sitting on one of the couches that faced the doors that led into the Sanctuary. Adam was making Russian jokes about Alex, Mikey was laughing at them, Derek and Andi ware kind of cuddling, and Daray was staring at Bobby through the doors. He was playing with his little nephew/cousin, so cute. Then all of a sudden one of the pastors yelled and told everyone that it was time to go into the Sanctuary for the short service.<br>---> After that everyone ate. Mikey, Derek and Adam each had about four or five servings. The van was getting ready to leave and Daray had to get on because she left some important stuff at her house. She was saying goodbye to Andi, but as soon as Bobby walked past she followed him, forgetting to say bye to everyone else. She trailed after him as close as she could with Alex trying to catch up with her as they got onto the van. Daray had practically been on top of Bobby, Alex rolled her eyes as she got in after them. Daray and Alex sat in the seat right in front of Bobby and his nephew/cousin, then out of nowhere Daray starts giggling and Alex gives her a weird, questioning look. Daray got her phone out and started typing something and showed it to Alex, they both completely lost it.<br>---> Bobby was looking back and forth between them while all of this was going down, then Daray noticed and abruptly stopped. She tried to keep a straight face but it was hopeless, she found her phone and showed him the text: *edited by me*. He looked up at Daray to find her staring at him, they locked gazes for a moment, then both busted out laughing. Though now, they were almost at Bobby's house, so they quickly exchanged numbers. And like all night, Daray watched him until she couldn't see him anymore.
