Are you serious?! Lame Vent. Very lame.

<span style="font-size:75"><span style="color:indigo">This is lame. Really it is.<br><br>But I have to get it out xD<br><br>Okay, so I'm with my dad for 5 days. That has not happened since they got divorced, around 10 years ago.<br><br>I will be home alone Today [Tuesday] through Friday from 7am to 5 or 6pm.<br>With just myself and one of my dogs to entertain me.<br><br>So I thought I'd bring my oldy Sims Deluxe game from my moms.<br>I got here 2 hours ago, and have been trying to install it since. My dad's laptop is fairly new. I think maybe 2006 or 2007.<br>It's a Windows Vista laptop. Toshiba.<br><br>And the game WILL NOT INSTALL. At all. I click to run/install it, and it does nothing. not even a pop-up.<br><br>I've searched the internet and tried to find out how to make it work.<br>Turns out, Vistas aren't very compatible.<br><br>So besides being on VP and watching TV and working out on the treadmill, I have nothing to do.<br>Okay, that makes me sound lazy now xP<br>I'm sure I can find something, but I was really looking forward to Sims for the next 5 days...<br><br>Does anyone know how I could possibly get it to install? :roll: </span></span>

  • Vista sucks :/ It looks nice and all modern, but it sucks. <br><br>Try a different Windows. One of the older types, or see if he has another computer?<br><br>Or go onto the Sims website (if they have one. I'm not sure), and see if it says what to do.<br><br>Other than that I have no idea.

  • You have to find the CD under My Computer, right click, properties, and chose Run With XP or wtfever. You have to do that with most things when Vista's around.
