ZOMFG! (random horse rant)

edited June 2009 in Vent
Okay so for the last year or two Ive been trying to convince my mum to register my horse in my name. And she's like, no.
Its always been knowledge that she wanted to sell him, hell, she got him for free off a breeder because the stallion she wanted from her was already sold.
His name is Zhabolic, or Zharz.
Mind you, he is a steel grey pure arabian; now a gelding.
Calm as anything. When my step-dad broke him in for riding, he said that Zharz was the only horse he had ever broken in (and he has broken in a lot of horses) that had rolled onto his back with the roller still on. Retard.
Besides my step-dad, I was basically the first person to ride him, but it has been over 2 years now. :(
I fell off once, and that was because there was a dead sheep on the road - not even a bruise! - but he has always been calm and moochie.
He also loves the colour orange, carrots and hay. :P

He is currently at my grandparents house with my cousin for her to ride, but she got on him twice in the last 2 years and each time she got bucked off.
Im so annoyed though because it was 'zharz's fault, *cousins name* knows how to ride better than *my name* but she never got bucked off!' ..
Im like, hello, been around horses for the past 17 FRICKIN years and Ive known Zharz since he was 6 MONTHS OLD .. btw; hes nearly 7.
So yeah. My cousin learnt to ride on old, school teacher horses. Zharz is still green cause he was hardly ridden. So when she tugs at his mouth or digs her heels in. Who can guess whats gonna happen!!?!?!!

But yeah. Now that he is in my name it means she cant sell him without my permission or signature. Which was the only reason I wanted him in my name to begin with.
It was so random though, she just messaged me this;
"I just registered Zharz in your name, everything is paid for and done"
Im still jumping up and down in excitement!

Ill post a photo of him in a sec!

I have another one on my phone which is only a few months old. But my non-trusty cousin decided to NOT send me some photos of him. *enter swear word here* - whichever one suits you.

Lol. My mum was in the shed when I took it, he didnt try to go in; because she gave him some food at the door. :P
One of our old horses, he died from Patterson's Curse about 5 years ago (so did another 5 of our horses) and his name was Fernando; mum owned him since she was 7. He was 27 when he died. Anyway; my mum has tonnes of photos of him in the old feed shed. Either his head or his butt .. always so funny to watch.

But eh. Zharz and another foal we had who was the same age as him, were easily swayed off the Patterson's onto, Hay and carrots .. lol. So I am lucky Zharz was strong enough to be swayed. :?
