I'm getting really tired of this :/

I'm tired of people criticizing breeders/professional dog handlers. In the past couple of months I've heard a lot of the following: "They don't care about shelter dogs." "They're just making the shelter dog problem worse." "We don't need any more dogs in this world than we already have." First of all, I'm not going to bother arguing with anyone who disagrees with me. Second of all, breeder/handlers such as myself and the majority of my family don't waste our lives just to make the dog population worse. We are completely aware of the problem as is everyone else. Our job is yes, basically breeding, but we're breeding for better, HEALTH, TEMPERMEANT, and all around BETTER dogs in the breed. We love our dogs to death, and we love what we do. In fact, we make a damn difference in the 'dog world' whether you believe it or not. What we do isn't inhumane in any way, and we don't make our dogs do anything they don't want to. They enjoy their work as much as we do. I can't see myself doing anything else in this world. Fin. [p.s] i wish there was some way to post this like...worldwide for everyone to see. xD

I completely agree with you. Though, I don't compete dogs, and I have yet to start my own breed I would very much like to specialize in a certain favorite breed of mine someday.

Just to study the breed and to learn from them. To help them improve. . . That would be the greatest joy, just knowing that your making a difference in the breed. There are so many people who are so quick to judge. It makes me wanna go crazy. . . :x Not only do people complain like you said about breeders, I hate how people judge a dog on its 'breed' but not by the dog itself. . . Like whenever my Grandma sees a Pit Bull, I always hear her say "Shoot it!" to herself. . . I know two Pit Bull who saved a little baby from a rabbid cat and also, I hear they make great therapy dogs once they're older and calmed more. Its just not fair. . . Punish the deed, not the breed.

But hey, no matter how much we try to explain our ways, they're just not going to listen. . . And if for whatever reason they do, then thats amazing! lol ^_^ I personally think without breeders, dogs would be so unhealthy and crazy chaotic. :roll: So to you, Moony, thank you. ^_^ I â™¥ dog breeders striving to do the right thing, helping one breed at a time.

Amen. I breed Purebred Australian Cattle Doggies infact we have our first litter at the moment 8 puppies! we were shocked at the number of them, but yeah alot of people dont realise were just trying to make them better, like better workers etc.

Proper breeding definitely improves the dogs. If it weren't for responsible breeders like you, Moony, I'm positive 80% of dogs today would be inbred and messed up in the head. $:\$ It's breeders like Moon that makes dogs healthier, happier, and all that extra good stuff. Responsible breeders control what puppies their dogs produce and make sure that they are all kept happy and healthy. Irresponsible breeders add to the Mutt and bad dog population and normally create unhealthy puppies.

If it weren't for responsible breeders like you, Moony, I'm positive 80% of dogs today would be inbred and messed up in the head. $:\$ It's breeders like Moon that makes dogs healthier, happier, and all that extra good stuff. Amen to everything said so far though I dont love my dogs to death and at times if you hear me on chat its as if I hate them which isnt true... like any animal owner those are times I've been pushed over the age and its just like that.
