I am so sick of rescuing 6 - 12 month old puppies that can't be released/retired at all. Why is that? I'm trying to lower the Golden population, but about 50% of the pups I rescue are 6 - 12 months and I can't age them to be able to retire them... I'd move them to my main kennel to age them, but it's such a pain. And I don't want to age my dogs in the main kennel. I'd place them in a boarding, but most of them are for sale! D8 Can't we change this somehow? >.> So that you -can- release them until they're 12 months. And then make it retiring them? PLEASE. O_O If it's possible to change that, please do. - don't be mean, it's just a suggestion =P - feedback, please =D

I have a few hundred dogs like that in my rescue... stats so bad I'm not willing to put them up for adoption, and aging them all takes so much time, and to tell the truth I end up losing alot of vpc

I like this idea. Another idea to possibly compromise if this is turned down is if you're not charged for turning the dogs in a rescue kennel? Yes you would still have to take the time to retire, but personally my opinion is if you're not willing to put the time into the dogs you rescue, don't rescue them. I know if I come across dogs that have horrible stats, I just leave them. xD They can be someone elses problem. lmao But if we would be able to turn them without it being so costly, that would help and possibly motivate people more to clean up their rescue kennels. ^^ But I would love it if we go with Ludie's idea. It would be SO much easier, even if it was only implemented in rescue kennels.
