OMG I found wild aminal too!

I was out walking the dogs, and i came home, went to get a drink, and theres the thing moving out the corner of my eye, LITTLE TEENY Birdy and my cat, chasing/trying to eat it and i know hunting comes natural to cats but i hate when the do it when i went to get the bird it was still alive but my cat picked it up so i couldnt get it and the only way of getting them to release is to grab them by the scruff, so i did, when she released it was in major shock and i picked it up with kitchen paper (if id gone to get a towel she would have killed it in the time i was gone) and took it inside, called the vet and they said if i took it down there it'd probably get put down, because its a charity, i understand though, i was pretty sure he had a broken leg because it was up by its side but the vet told me to cat the SSPCA, so i did, when they got here we had him in a cat box and he was clinging on to the bars, and she said that while he was no longer in shock if we hadnt taken him away from the cat he would have died We saved a birdie!his leg was damaged from a previous injury that healed and he ate before he left so he got to go home to his birdie family
