Pine vole?

I saw a little mouse-type thing in the garage... we were thinking my cat brought it in. It was so... cute in a weird way. I thought it was a hamster at first but it had a tail and it was just a brownish-grey color. It had little ears and black dots for eyes, and a long skinny tail. It was not a mouse. It was fat. Oh and it had a whole bunch of clovers in it's mouth ... lol, but he was in shock so his mouth was half open and they were all falling out.

I have never heard of a vole before. I went on the internet and searched for rodents that live in my province, and a vole looks like exactly what I saw.

http://www.bio.davidson.edu/people/veca ... _l-5-5.jpg
http://www.hiltonpond.org/images/VolePine01.jpg

Aren't they cute? lol

No they're a wild animal.. I think they would get depressed or something. I would leave them in the wild personally. There's water voles and pine voles and they live in Alaska and that kind of climate. Unless you live there I don't know if you'll be seeing any voles any time soon.
