Bast, WIP

[Work In Progress] Okay, Well there's this stray cat that has been hanging around my house. I -know- my parents won't allow me to keep it because I have two German Shepherds. It likes me enough to feed it and pick it up, after some coaxing that is. And it comes to me whenever I am outside...I was thinking about bringing it to the Humane Society so it can go to a home instead of being homeless...but I'm getting a little too attached and I'm afraid it might have a miserable life if I send it away. But anyways, I drew a picture of the cat. It's a male and for now I'm calling him Bast. The picture is currently not done...obviously. For some reason I can't re-touch it. yah, i was going for a realistic look and so far I think it looks pretty realistic.

Well, if I choose to do a drawing for you, I won't have you buy it because I don't play VP anymore. I just stick to the forums...so it would be free. But as of now, I am not interested in doing drawings because I have many finals for school within this next week and then it will all be over. -thankgod-

Although it is amazing how it is, I can't help my self but to add some pointers xD What program are you using? hopefully something with a smudge tool? xD Dont worry! I'm not going to ask you to go smudge the whole thing into one big blob. So you can breathe a sign of relief ;D I tried this myself, because I was curious x3. Anyways, to me the strokes look a little pixely? Kinda, too hard? Not soft like what fur is, you follow? Well I took a soft smudge brush size 5px with a strenght of 15% or something about there, and smudged in the direction of the fur. It softened it so that i looked more like furn than pixel lines

Then just because smudging make you lose some of the detail no matter how lightly you smudge, I touched up with a 1px dodge and burn brush

Yes, ha ha. I know what you mean. And I can see the difference, definitely. It does look much better though, I must agree. But I wasn't sure if I wanted the pixeled look...or the softer look. I'm still undecided with that. I'll just wait until I'm finished to see what I want. Thanks for the help though, I'll play around with it to see what I can do. â™¥ and as for the program....it's not photoshop or any other drawing program that you can download. Although I do have some drawing programs, I don't use them much. I use an oekaki art type website.
