Cakes!!!!

ok my camera was being stubborn and I'm still trying to upload the graduation cake but in the meantime here are a few of my older cakes that I have made. <a href="http://tinypic.com/m/2nw3k7/1"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">http://tinypic.com/m/2nw3k7/1</a> This one was one of my very first cakes. I make a lot of flower baskets like this for people. <a href="http://tinypic.com/m/2nw3k9/1"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">http://tinypic.com/m/2nw3k9/1</a> Sisters birthday. I hated how it came out but she loved it and thats what counts I guess. <a href="http://tinypic.com/m/2nw3kg/1"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">http://tinypic.com/m/2nw3kg/1</a> This one took maybe 5 minutes to decorate. Its just a simple flower on top using a star tip. Sorry its not closer up. I can't find that pic. <a href="http://tinypic.com/m/2nw3kk/1"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">http://tinypic.com/m/2nw3kk/1</a> I made this cake to look like a Bible for my churches picnic. I thought it would fit in better than something else. <a href="http://tinypic.com/m/2nw3km/1"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">http://tinypic.com/m/2nw3km/1</a> I actually made this cake for my youth group to earn points for me team. (long story) I won though. I also made another cake just like this for my county fair. I placed in it the wrong section though so it didn't place. This year I plan on doing a wedding cake. I am uploading some more pics. I think it came out pretty good. It was for my grandparents 50th anniversary. It took awhile to decorate the entire cake. <a href="http://tinypic.com/m/4ftidd/1"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">http://tinypic.com/m/4ftidd/1</a> Here is the entire cake put together. I am getting the rest uploaded now

wow! they are amazing XD you should go into a career of cake making (and how could you not like yours sisters one, its amazing XD) my second favorite is the flower basket one, and my favorite is the bumble bee one

Wow, you're amazing. And such improvement! I can't wait to see the cake that was causing the insanity! <3 I've only decorated once. I wish I'd taken pictures. It was on a cupcake and we had to make it into the lower half of a dress for this plastic thing. It turned out decent, but it was a bad call doing it in 90 degree weather. The icing melted off. xDDD

Thanks. If I went into cake decorating full time I wouldn't have a house. lol. I still have some things to learn before I take it up all the time. If anyone ever has any suggestions on what to decorate a cake as I'm always open for ideas.

Ya the cake that caused all the insanity didn't turn out as one of my best. i was actually pretty disappointed. To me it looked like an 8 year old made it. Thats one of the reasons I was having problems with this cake. It is soo hot where I am that the icing kept cracking and melting all over the place.

I have another graduation cake next week to make so I will probably wait till the middle of June or something like that to do a castle. You should try it again. It does get very frustrating at times but it can be a lot of fun. lol. As long as I'm not making a cake I love doing it cause I'm not frustrated with my mistakes at that moment. I would LOVE to be able to get into the Wilton School in New York for a few summer classes. That would really help me improve I think.

Yeah, it was really tedious work. But I love that type of stuff. I tend to focus on small parts for ages, even if they're not very important. I'm the type of person that doesn't believe in a main roll, but many supporting roles. You know? xD I dunno. Maybe I'll look into getting some supplies. I just took one class and didn't take it again because they forced us to eat the cupcakes. D; I don't like eating cake with icing.

Ya I sometimes do the same thing. I always want everything I do to be perfect if it is a cake. I really need help with my flowers. that is my one weak point right now. I think you should I took my classes at my local Hobby Lobby. I only took course 1 and 2. They didn't make us eat anything we took everything home and then did whatever with it.

I think you would be good at it. If you like all the little details then you would definitely be able to do it.
