I don't have a problem with handling bugs, as a matter of fact, I often let pill bugs crawl on me... LOL, they're cute. I have trouble keeping them alive (we tried with my borther's leopard gecko) and I can't buy 3-6 crickets every few days, because I can't go to the pet store that often. Cresties can have crested gecko diet, and then the crickets will come from my brothers lizard.

i usually get 20,
if you get a small housing space for the crickets (doesn't cost that much),
they will live longer.
Just hijacking here...

I feed crickets to my quails quite often and,I've found that if you cut up an egg carton or two and put it in an ice-cream container (I had a square cut out of the lid with some shade cloth stapled to cover it for air and such) get maybe about 15 medium sized ones, they really like it in there and last at least two weeks, but if you ask your pet shop what they feed their crickets then you could probrably feed the crickets whatever they suggest and well yeah mine actually breed so thats a way to save some money. I haven't bought crickets in ages.
I buy about 500 crickets for a 2 week period. You usually have some that will die but about 95% of mine live. I feed mine carrots, romaine lettuce, sliced potatoes, and some dog food. I put old toilet paper rolls also in the tank. Thats if I can take enough away from the gerbils. xD If you see any dead crickets in the tank/cage you mustget them out. Dead crickets will kill the others.
When we had some frogs, we actually made a "cricket farm" out of a tank and some egg cartons. It worked really well, actually. Bought quite a few crickets and let them breed.
If you get the adults they chirp like crazy. Drives us insane sometimes. You can get the smaller ones that are like one stage away from adults and they don't chirp yet.
