• I moved about an hour away from my old home and I was really against it. All my friends were where I was and I'd lived there my whole life (I was 12 then). But it had always been my mom's "dream" to move to the country in a victorian house with cows practically across the street, a huge pond in her own frontyard and woods behind her. We all knew it was what she wanted and now she's going to live in that house for the rest of her life.

None of us kids wanted to move but we did. And now that I've lived here about four years, I don't want to move -anywhere- else in the whole world... I'll probably live here forever because I can't dream of ever leaving.

Basically, you don't know what you're missing, is what I learned.

Good luck and I hope everything goes well! :3
 • Thanks dusty.
I'm trying to look at it positive.

You were brave to move!
moving is never a secure place.

 • No problem ^-^

And yes, I've moved three times, actually. My second house was where I had the most memories so obviously I hated to move from it. But I've finally let go of that and now everything's going great.
 • I've moved. I was ten or eleven when my mum moved my two brothers and I across the pond to Canada, and then last year she moved us back to the UK. Of course I disaggreed to both, though the latter isnt seeming so bad anymore, as I've quite settled in again. But yeah. I had mates and a life when I first moved from England, and then again when we moved back here. But I really think you should think positively and try to enjoy the adventure of it. Where are you moving? Try to research things about the place you are moving and acquaint yourself with it to relieve the shock and disdain at the prospect of moving across the pond.

 • I've moved about 10 times in my life. It boggles my mind to hear about people that have never moved! 10 times means, 8 different schools. I had no say in the matter, it's mostly because of my dad. Either the separation, the getting back together, or the work. :( Finally we're somewhere where we are planning to stay, although it is awfully expensive. I might move out elsewhere though.

 • I have moved alot. we i was yunger it was just moveing from appment to house to appartment and then back to a house, all with in the same naighbor hood. but then i move down to my aounts for a year when I was about 9. Then we move the bread backet of the good old U.S.of A. after two years we moved to england. the we move here. no in august shortly after my b-day my dad has to go to korea. and we would be moving with him but my brother is almost out of school so were going to pinch pennies to stay here and if it comes to it get a house. If we get the choice then my dad is coming back in a year and we will stay here till i graduate high school in 4ish year. but i am ready to move (I just used to the two year cycle.)

 • I moved from New Jersey to Poland, then back across to New York, then upstate New York, then Acton, Massachusetts, then Boston, Massachusetts, then Beverly Hills, California, then New Jersey. This summer, I might be moving back across the ocean to Poland, so I sort of know how you feel :/

Just try to make the best of it. Things usually seem a bit easier that way.
