I have a really good idea! I already know that when your dog is bred by a Sp. Kennel the dog is branded with that kennel's brand, but it would be most excellent if somewhere on the dog there would be a little input thing (that you cannot change) that is something like: <img src="http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q297/phunque__/idea.jpg"; alt="http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q297/phunque__/idea.jpg"; class="bb-image" /> It could be in the corner of the page or listed somewhere. It's a place to put your username in the input box, press submit, and then it cannot be changed no matter who you sell it to, or if you retire/release it. The top part of the photo explains how it could look when the puppy is new, (the ? could be a javascript that explains it), and then the bottom part could be what it looks like after you press submit. The blue box around the "Reinz." means that my username is a hyperlink, and it will go to my kennel. For the top part, there would have to be a link area so that it could be clicked. I think this would be really cool. It might defeat the purpose of having a Sp. Brand altogether, but the fact that you can get Sp. breeders to breed your dogs means that your brand will be on a lot of other people's dogs, so it wouldn't really matter. If your dog could link back to YOU (the breeder or owner of the female), it would be a lot easier finding dogs in lines rather than being in the dark about who bred who, ya know?

I'm on the fence. I see where you're coming from about the sponsor brand. However, this would cause a great deal more work for those who care about it. They'd have to type it in on every single dog. And what if the field was left blank and the dog was sold? The buyer could put their name in instead, thus defeating the purpose. And finding a way to make the box disappear once the dog has left the original owner wouldn't work - then when the breeding kennel accepts your bid, you don't have the option to input that information. I don't think this is really necessary.

About not filling it in and then selling it, causing someone else to put a name there.. Have the ability only available to sponsor breeders. Or just have it automatically have your ranch name or playername somewhere..?

What if it was made so you absolutely have to fill it in, before you can put it up for sale, accept bids, before you can train, and before you can name it.
