Breeding Kennels.

edited May 2009 in Game Suggestions
I think for breeding kennels there should be a way to get gifties,<br>like when you breed to normal colored dogs, <br>then they should be able to produce a giftie pup,<br>and it should be limited to the number of gifties you are allowed,<br>and they can be born neatured, intact, etc.<br>Any ideas?<br>I'm not sure how hard the coding will be,<br>but just a suggestion. :D

  • So like if you have a dog that had a giftie parent and you bred it you could have a chance of getting the giftie color?<br>If thats what you are saying I say no way. Way to many people already over breed gifties and then make them not rare anymore.

I meant having two normal colored dogs,<br>and only in breeding kennels would normal colored dogs be able to produce gifties..<br>And that's why I said the giftie pup should be born neatured, <br>like mutts are.<br>;D

  • What would the color be based on? If it would be that easy to breed a giftie I don't see why people would have to buy gifties anymore unless it was a color they really wanted. xD

  • That's why I said a limited amount of gifties could be born. XD<br>And I'm not really sure on colors,<br>just a different varaity based on suggestions.<br>;P

  • I would have to say no to this.<br>Nef makes money off of people actually buying gifties, not just breeding them.

  • But if my dog had pups which are not colored the giftie color, then I would have to watch where and if I were to sell it. It would be too much of a hassle, especially since many people also make a profit from selling the uncolored pups.

  • Maybe add some rare colors to some of the breeds(we wouldn't know what ones) and have only the breeding kennels be able to birth pups with these colors?
  • I'd say no right off the back. I mean seriously, if you really want a giftie, just buy one. I know it's nice to breed normal colored dogs and get gifties, but that'd kill the reason to even have gifties in the first place.<br><br>Okay, so I've read that there is a certain amount of the gifty that gets out, right? Well, what happens if some novice breeds mutts over and over, and they keep that same color and sell those mutts for however much? Then the colors would be kept to that person, and you would either have to pay millions for that color or you would have to wait until 6 months to rescue the dog.<br><br>So, saying again. If you really want a giftie color, then go buy one. Yes, it would be cool to have two normal colored dogs and get gifties, but that would seriously kill the purpose of having gifties in the first place. Now, my point is, if you have a certain amount on a color and only one person gets them, would the color be overbred anyways? If you had two gifties, would you still get a gifty of that color even if there was a cap? What would choose whether or not you'd get that color? Would stats even matter anymore?<br><br>Big ups for the suggestion/creativity, big thumbs down for the idea.

  • If they are born neutered, why have them? Just to sit around and collect dust? Congrats on your dust pan...

  • The defanition of gifties is bought colors. So they wouldn't be gifties at all and it would be technically incorrect to call them so. If anything it would just be more breed colors. We dont need more of those. xD

<br><br><br>Yeah,<br>there is a thing called showing them.<br>Which can make you millions.

  • No. As tarnish said, that'd just be adding more breed-specific colors, not actual gifties. It's not worth the time to enter the new colors and the coding to put a limit, have them born neutered, etc. And do take note that there is very little interest in breed colors now...adding more wouldn't change that. ;)
  • Amen sista. xD
