• I haven't read many vampire books, but I feel is Stephanie Meyer is actually pladurizing(SP?) and everything, something would have been done. This has been out for awhile, and if anything was going to happen, it would have by now.

With the sparkling thing, they should have never done that. It did make them look like they were sweating, and they messed it up even more with the glistening sound. They did cut a lot out, but the movie was already some 2 hours long.

I would say, overall, Twilight is pretty good. It isn't the best, but it is great in some ways, not so great in others. Again, this is my opinion.

I know people may seem like SM is ripping off of other peoples books... but well Twilight and the rest of the series has done much better than AR's so I guess SM did something that wasnt like AR right?

And if she didnt have the whole golden eyes or anything would anyone really call them vampires? Alot of people would be scrutinizing the fact that she doesnt know anything about vampires and that they should have golden eyes and all that...

So yeah thats just another side of things.. don't jump me please =]

They had alot of money to spend on the movie thats why they got cruise and pitt, but Inetview with the Vampire (36mil, Twilight made in the first day) and Queen of the Damned (35mil) together only made just over the 70mil Twilight made alone in the first weekend...

And I guess if you wanted to counter in price inflamitry, I dont think It would make much difference, I'm pretty sure over the past 5-10 years prices have only raise about $1-$2 here where I am... so yeah..
 • Twilight was horrible. I mean, seriously? And then they invade HT with all the Twilight stuff because apparently to everyone else it was a good movie.
It wasn't. The camera work sucked, the whole movie was more based on the romance then the vampire. And it wasn't like the book at all(expected). So seriously? Make the House of Night series into a movie, or, if not already, Stephen King's 'Salem's Lot.

Anne Rice is amazing. I've been meaning to get a few of her books.

 • Well I can agree with you. I'm not fond of Twilight what so ever. I truely hate it with a passion, even ask VP chat lol. I think I mainly don't like it because all the fangirls. Sparkling vampires, cheesy lines, Edward looking horrible, Venom and many more reasons, it all irked me to no end.

Especially the fan girls.

Anne Rice has the perfect vampires, in my opinion. They're deep, beautifully enriched vocabulary. She has it all.

Lestat for the win! Edward for the fail, but Edward is more romantic and human than Lestat. I will agree, Twilight is for tweens that want a romance like that. But in reality, them being so rabbid scare most of the boys away, especially if they're swooning over Edward who doesn't exsist.

I rest my case. Twilight is ok and that's the most I can say for the over-rated book. I just suggest to read Anne Rice's Interview with a Vampira and Queen of the Damned. They're great books with beautiful structure, inside and out.
