Not creative enough to come up with a cooler name. D; Maybe later. Anyways! I FINALLY did some coloring I was proud of! So I really do have to show everyone. XD Still wanting critique though.

Lines are still kinda wobbly, but I think I'm improving! And the coloring.. well.. I really like the way it came out. x3 And I think I may go with this style. But.. I'll be doing more stuff hopefully.. So I decided to just make an art dump Thanks to all who comment and critique

Very well done! I myself is trying to learn to draw horses... With the help of my artistic aunt, I'm getting better. lol But for now, I would say you are way better than me and yes, you have improved! Good job!

One thing that sorta sticks out to me, you don't have to change it though cause I'm not the "Horse" expert, but the hooves look just a tad bit small... Maybe next time just a tad bigger? Yay or Nay...? lol

I'd love to see some of the horses you've done! Your wolves are far better than I could ever do. And I'm happy with the size of the front hooves, but I think the back ones are a smidge too small. Thanks for pointing that out.

jk Thats what my friend tells me when I do the paws on my dogs... She gave me good instructions on how to do them... I love you detail though! Far better than mine.... Did you use a Ref?

Yeah, I still need to work on the mane and tail, brighten some highlights, darken some shadows.. just basically tweak. XD lmao I might have nightmares no Bobcat x3 That should scare me into doing my hooves right XD I did use a ref, I can't do anything likes this without one. lmao I'm not familiar enough with the horse anatomy to do drawings without staring at a picture as well. Paws are something I have a terrible time with. I make them look like cat paws all the time.

Hehe, same here. I actually use some of my Aunt's drawings as refs, only I make them my own if you know what I mean... I do different stances, emotions, and coloring so its kinda my own... lol As for coloring my wolves, I still need a ref too... :roll: Some day, the image in my head will appear and I'll be able to sketch that rather than the image on the table... Hehe *crosses fingers* It'll happen... It'll happen...

A lot of the anatomy on the legs is wrong. I suggest studying skeletal references. Past the "elbows"(where a persons elbows would be, the joints above the ankle a ways) is far too skinny the horse would not be able to stand. The back legs are some sort of pointed section and im not sure why. Most parts of a horse are rounded, due to the fact joints are round, and horses have such little fat that any visible part of the skeleton through the leg is its natural shape. I could go on a bit more, but just as a basic idea, study legs. I know youll improve! well done horse

And now I went back to look at the ref I see exactly what I need to fix. Some of the stuff like fixing the pointyness and the thickness I'll fix, but I'm not doing anything too major to the lineart at this point. That helped a ton, thanks Lolo!

And, Ebony, many breeds of horses do have that sunken-in face, and forward eyes. It's called 'dished'.

I win?! Yay! 8D I don't know how to color though.. I am trying to learn.. but I have no fancy art stuff to work with. And I've never taken art/drawing lessons or classes.. so. If a horses head is dished, it would curve in, like a bowl, not have the nose and eye stick out with a straight front. Very nice colouring so far, just remember to vary tones and such.

Yes If you have trouble, try eye-dropping off a horse of the colour you want.

Bases are nice to work off too. ^^ It's how I work most of the time with smooth images. I make a base, duplicate the layer, lock transparency, recolor, and set the layer to multiply. Then I adjust the settings to be more complimentary to the piece.

Normally I use purple-grey tones. But I started with plain grey. I got bored of that. It's all an experiment of what works when you use color.

I used to be really awful at the ears, so Iused to just draw those sometimes. lmao I'm not sure I like the horse's right ear on that though. But.. Might look better once I add shading there too. I appreciate the comments and critique, thanks all
