My dad installed this NetNanny thing on my compy and now it blocks almost everything I try and do! I can't even post images on my DA account! Gah, the stupid thing

Any evil ideas come to mind that you could hand to me?

 • o.O that's no good. You should show him how hard it is to do stuff with it on. There must be a way to refine it. DA is important because without a place to post and receive critique, how can you improve on your own as an artist? Class is all very well and good, but limited yourself artistically is extremely unhelpful.

*edit* Also, Net Nanny is one of the least efficient and most controversial censorware out there, because of it's unreasonable restrictions on websites that are completely benign in nature. In addition, it restricts sites (such as some sites on feminism) on a mysterious and unknowable basis. I think it might be prejudiced lol

Lol, yeah I agree. But I'd ask him to un-block it, if they weren't so against DA. They say it's like, evil/weird or something. But IT DEPENDS ON WHAT YOU LOOK AT... they won't hear of it. Unreasonable...

EDIT: Although, I just remembered that my parents have a laptop without NetNanny so I'll just post them when I get the chance, muahahaha >=) It really isn't a bad site as long as I choose not to look at anything, er, inappropriate xD

Uh you can't really look at anything inappropriate unless you lied about your age or the artist forgets to put the age restriction on it. Did you lie on your age? o.0

And sorry..this is way funny. xD I used to have aol with the damn sites blocked and I had to have my mom get on that slow connection and have her allow some sites..including VP!! haha poor dusty.

 • It allows vp, right? O.O

 • I feel for you, my dad installed something like that on mine, it's called K9 Web Protection or something like that but it hardly lets me do anything xD

 • ehm, evil idea that comes to mind first of all is, doing a system restore? hehehe... and pretending that you're still boiling mad at your dad for a while and all. but to make it look like its still installed, before you do, take a screenie of the blocked message and upload it on photobucket, and whenever you go to sites that are supposed to be blocked that your father knows, go to that..
yes, I'm a rebel computer geek... XD
