• Personally I think it would be plain old brown. I've had alot of standardbreds with that colouring and they have been classified brown, or an extremely dark bay

 • I believe he'd just be bay or dark bay.

When I had my horse, he was about that color/pattern and he was a bay according to the show officials.

 • I'd say brown. xD From what my friend has beat into me about colors.

 • My horse has that EXACT coloring in the winter, but when she sheds all her fur she's still obviously a dark bay, but considered brown anyways.

It may look brown now, but see all that winter coat? Just imagine it shorter. Still might be considered brown though.

 • I would say Black bay or dark bay my horse is also the same color as that and on her registration papers it says Black bay. There are also many other terms used to describe a dark bay such as Blood Bay and Black Bay. It may just be brown in the summer though due to it having a winter coat. But then again brown is not a true horse color its a color referring to a whole bunch of colors that look like brown. I am guessing from the color around the eye and mouth along with a few other places on the mule it will be a lighter bay come summer.

Hope this helps.
 • could be seal brown? or dark bay...

 • That would be a Dark bay or "brown".
These horses often have lighter hair around the muzzle, eyes, flanks, and behind the elbow.

The black areas of a Bay horse are known as Black points, and the horse can not be considered a bay without them.

Hope this helps. xD
I own horses, Even got a couple bays.
My horse bowl team is also one of the best in the state. xD

 • I'm still fairly convinced it is seal brown : P

<a href="http://www.ultimatehorsesite.com/colors/sealbrown.html"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">http://www.ultimatehorsesite.com/colors/sealbrown.html

<a href="http://www.cedarpointeminiatures.com/missy2.jpg"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">http://www.cedarpointeminiatures.com/missy2.jpg

In a dark bay, the muzzle would be black, and certainly not lighter than the rest of its coat, unless it was mismarked, which would not make sense considering a mule is a mule and generally there are very few breeds of even horses alone that have strict colouring.
On another note, people generally associate the colour with wild donkeys but either way, it's right cute.

 • Mule genetics are differnt than a horses, just so you know.

I believe that mule is Dark Bay, but it could also be:

-Brown
-Seal brown
-Or black

Mules tend to have mealy muzzles, so that would explain his mis-coloured nose.

I am not a mule expert, so.. I don't know.
