I created some pixel dogs today... its my first time drawing a canine though, so I know they aren't the greatest. Critique? UPDATE: If you see something exceedingly wrong with my anatomy on one of my linearts, please redline! It helps illustrate what you are talking about for me.

Thank you! Once I have better co-ordination with my mouse, I'll start different poses. This one is just easiest. (Plus I can re-use and edit my lineart easily)

I really like the shading and shining you did. Can you tell me how to make the picture change in the signature? I've been trying to do that for a while xD.

Love the shading and concept. :P Nose looks alittle funny, but it's nothing that can't be fixed. You should make big doggy pictures xD I'd love to see how those turn out. xD

I used to use MS paint to, till I upgraded to Gimp ;o Do you do freehand at x100 or Zoom at x800?

Mostly 200, but if its just a minor change, I go to 100%. For major fixes, I go straight to 800%, or if I'm drawing something small, like a nose or an eye

Thank you! What should I make next? (Nothing in dimensions much larger than that, that took me... a good 1-3 hours to draw and then colour, working on and off)

You can tell that time was taken.

Mabey for your next picture your could try something with a curly tail? A perfectly accented tail can really make a picture shine. But the way you shade is just plain professinal. xD

Thanks. I'll try myself a curly tail. Paint is the best program we have here, Photosuite sucks majorly. And I'm not allowed to download GIMP. So, I can only hope my dad gives in soon, or I'll live with my friend who has CS3 XD [EDIT] What should I do with the full body? I have no use for it

It was really hard... took, hrm, 10 mins to draw, and like, 5 hours split up to colour. It was really, really hard to shade and hilight. (I got the shadows in, but not hilights) I did set up an auction for the great dane, check the auction section.

For some reason I just love the style of coloring, very nice. Some problems with anatomy, but they're easy to fix. First thing I notice is the back leg. The hock is a little too high, it's not giving enough room for the 'shin' bone. Remember that that last little bend is like the dog 'heel', dogs walk on their tippy-toes x3, so what I like to do is just think of it as a normal foot, and just judge length/height from there.

Thanks. Is there any way I could get a redline of whats wrong? I'm still working on my dog anatomy, and it helps. I keep on adding a mane and a horse nose when I draw my puppy lineart, becuase I draw horses so often.
