Wacom or Genius?

edited January 2009 in General Discussion
I'm wanting to buy a tablet pretty soon but I don't know which brand would be better. I don't have a ton of money (can pay probably around $50) so it can't be too fancy. Just wondering if you have any suggestions or experience with these certain brands (:

Thanks

 • I have a Wacom Bamboo Fun. In my opinion, they're great, and come with three programs; Corel Painter Essentials, Adobe Photoshop Elements, and this other one I can't remember..... The touch pad is also textured to feel like natural paper under your hand, and the pen comes with an eraser end, and a mouse (which I can't figure out how to use  ) Unfortunately, even the smallest size is a little out of your price range.

I also dont' know how this compares to the Genius, as I have no experience with it. Go look up comparisons online. ^^

 • Yep. That's the Bamboo ; the Bamboo Fun has the three programs with it, eraser end, and a mouse, but it's a lot more expensive.

 • I have a Wacom Bamboo Fun and it's really awesome, plus it came with Photoshop Elements 6.0, Corel Painter Pro, and something else that I don't remember XD

 • WacomWacomWacom.
It is my only love!
High quality, if you buy new, most, if not all come with some art programs. They're longer lasting, higher quality, and overall better. I'm not experienced with Genius. I'm comparing between a LaPazz(CHEAP AND MOODY xD) and a Wacom.

 • Thanks, guys! I think I know which got the most votes xP I can probably borrow or make the difference in the money towards the Wacom Bamboo ^_^

Lol, thanks! But no way, it takes me forever to be satisfied with the results. A tablet would make a big difference (even though I still need to improve my coloring *cough* Ev, I need you *cough*) so... yeah xD
 • I just recently bought a Genius for 50$ and I dont have a problem with it :3 The only difference I was told is the bigger screen, so if you can draw in a smaller confinement then it should be fine :3
