Anatomy of a Dog ---> (some special Gifty art)

And I decided to draw it. o.o The color is <a href="http://www.virtualpups.com/index.php?r=dog/view&id=1360441url"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">Clear Skin w/ Visible Inner Anatomy</a>. I just orderd the color like an hour ago, so it's not in yet. But what does everyone think of the art? It took me a while, because I had to look up dog Anatomy. and make shure I could balence it out with cartoonness and some realisticness too. This Gifty is going to be bred with the other one I dyed the color is <a href="http://www.virtualpups.com/index.php?r=dog/view&id=1360442"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">White w/ Music Note Fur Pattern and Strong Beat</a>. I think atleast a few people might be interested if I auctioned those. *edit* The dye is on the dog now so you can see the color. DO NOT leave this up on your computer and forget it's there!! I was working on it with Gimp, got up to play Wii, and walked past it saw it out of the corner of my eye and I'll tell you folks it scared the bread crumbs out of me. o.o I'm like "......WHAT IS THAT!?!" Comment Please.

I think it's great. ^^ My only thing with the picture would be that the ribs on the side seem to be coming over the skin of the dog where they should be lying flat. ;3

I originaly made them flat, but it covered the Lungs to mutch xD so I broke alittle rule and had the showing a bit more. ^-^

Did you look at a dog skeleton when drawing this? I'm noticing a lot of mistakes... Here's a picture: <img src="http://www.hot.ee/spiritedbrand/photos/CanineSkeleton.jpg"; alt="http://www.hot.ee/spiritedbrand/photos/CanineSkeleton.jpg"; class="bb-image" /> Your drawing looks like you just guessed what the skeletal structure looked like. I'm not trying to be mean or anything, it's just that...that's what it looks like to me. Reference is good, don't worry if something looks too complicated, just break it up and do it baby steps.

I wasn't concered with making an acurite skelital structure. Just with making a picture that looking pleasing to the eye. I did look up how the bones went. But I'm not going to sit there and put each bone by bone. So after awhile, yea I did start to gess. Plus, It was a personal picture so I just wanted to have fun with it. I tried to make the crese in the skull where the eye is, I think you can kind of see that, but I do everything by mouse, so it's never that easy for me.

Well, I think there should be at least a little accuracy, all the mistakes are just distracting. If you're gonna be lazy and just guess, I don't think you should have agreed to draw an invisible dog in the first place. It's not fair to whoever wanted it, to just guess and not even put a little effort into it.

If it was for someone else, I would have made it as accurate as I could, but I made it for myself, so I wasn't to worried about it. But I do appreciate you criq, that'll just help me improve in the future. I'm shure the mistakes are distracting, and I appoligize for that. But like I said it was for fun and for myself so I wasn't so worried.

humm, did I already comment on this? *checks* nope. anyway, this is brilliant, even if its's not perfectly anatomically correct. I think the way you did it is just ace, hon. also, I must add that, I almost never even consider tackling the feat that is musculature and skeletons. kudos on your bravery, and congrats on your success! ^^

Thank you very very mutch rohesia! That means lots! One day I'm going to try to make a dog thats anatomically correct. But I'm really glad that you apreciate the work I put into it. I know this may seem long for a drawing. It really makes me happy. ^^

The picture is really neat. I can't draw dogs at all. xD Only one thing bugs me and it's the color. ;; I like the concept of the color though.
