  Lol, it says that Rosy comes from the name Rose. That's pretty profound. I'm shocked. <br><br>I did not know, though, that Rose didn't come from the flower. It says the two theories are both from old english from <span style="font-style:italic">hros</span>, meaning ''horse,'' or <span style="font-style:italic">hrod</span>, meaning ''fame.'' <br><br>Hmmm... maybe it's actually Famous Horse?
